10.01.2022 On the weekend we saw one of our own, Client Adviser Sean Kertcher, and his family participate in the Brissie to the Bay 10km ride to raise funds to support people living with Multiple Sclerosis. A cold and misty start greeted the 5000 participants, but the weather finally cleared for a fantastic ride; just reward for the participants who raised close to $1 million for a great cause. AMP Advice Miami would like to say thank you to Sean and his family, and to all the members... of our team who give up their time to support our community. Great job!

09.01.2022 Yesterday in warm and dry Spring conditions we supported the Gold Coast Central Chamber of Commerce at their 2019 Presidents Cup Golf Day. Private Client Adviser Jonathon Bevan led a team of four around the course, while Private Client Adviser Sean Kertcher manned our marquee at the 9th tee to help keep the players from succumbing to the 30 degree heat with plenty of refreshments. It was a great opportunity to support the Chamber, who support and promote business on the Gold Coast.

07.01.2022 RBA cuts rates to a new record low Shane Oliver, Head of Investment Strategy and Chief Economist at AMP Capital, discusses the decision from the Reserve Bank of Australia to cut the official cash rate by 0.25% to a new record low of 1.25%. The key points are as follows:... The RBA’s latest rate cut is aimed at heading off a further slowing in growth which would threaten higher unemployment and lower for longer inflation. Cutting the inflation target would be a big mistake More rate cuts are likely to be needed ultimately taking the cash rate to a low of 0.5% next year. Ideally this will be combined with more fiscal stimulus. For investors it means low interest rates for even longer.
