25.01.2022 We had a lovely article in the Pyreness Advocate on Friday about our gardening and cooking program. Today we also had a Webex Meeting with the 6 other schools in our cluster . It was an assembly and also some students read a speech to the whole cluster to become Cluster Captains and the other students voted for their choices.

25.01.2022 Just letting you know that we will be back at school on Monday morning as usual. See you then and enjoy the last few days of the holidays.

25.01.2022 I'm sure everyone by now are aware of the changes happening this week so I decided to focus on something completely different. These are our carrots we grew at school they look a bit strange and made us laugh. If there is any changes to the school arrangements which you need to know Mr. Franc will make contact with you as necessary. Please stay safe everyone and we'll see you all soon.

21.01.2022 We've had a very exciting afternoon today playing with and learning how to control our new Sphero Minis. They are great fun and we will learn lots of things including games and coding.

19.01.2022 We've had a great start to the term and have also been walking around town in the afternoons to see the sites and keep fit. It's worrying times at the moment but we're focusing on positivity and by following the directions to stay Covid safe we're doing okay. We're grateful that we're in a small school in regional Victoria.

16.01.2022 Winners for the Cup Sweep were - Josh Whateley 1st, Delia Healy 2nd. ., Laura Maconachie 3rd., Paul Dridan 4th. and Jenni Dridan last. Lucky we did a live draw because otherwise it would have looked rigged. Thanks to everyone who participated .

16.01.2022 What fun we had for end of term, a pyjama day, we watched "Matilda" the movie while eating popcorn. We also had some dancing and a sausage sizzle. Great end to the term after such a disruptive start due to remote learning. Have a relaxing holiday and stay safe. Please remember to wash your hands, keep your distance and stay safe.

14.01.2022 Today we welcomed William for his first transition day. We had an exciting morning and the boys enjoyed him being here in the classroom and also the playground. We can't wait for next week to have him here again. Even his little sister got in on the fun.

13.01.2022 The blossom is out and look lovely although the pictures don't do them justice also the grounds look amazing since Doug Hicks came in and gave them a good tidy up. Everything seems much brighter since the students are back, the gardens look fresh and the sun is shining (mostly).

12.01.2022 Today we got the opportunity to visit Jenni and Paul Dridan's shearing shed while they had the shearers there. It was very interesting and the boys even helped by sweeping up the floor. Thanks Jenni, Paul and the shearers for letting us watch and ask questions about the important work you do.

11.01.2022 Yesterday we went to Glen Patrick for an outdoor adventure which was a great day. The first thing we did was get a campfire going and prepare and cook damper even Zak the puppy wanted to get involved. We then met Col, a Glen Patrick local who took us on a bush walk showing us some historical sites from the gold era and shared stories about the area. Thanks Col. We had lunch and toasted marshmallows before playing some ball games finishing off with a very competitive game of petanque. We had such a fun day but were all a bit tired last night.

11.01.2022 I would like to let everyone know that our principal Louis Franc has been offered and accepted the role of principal for next year. We are happy to have him here, he is a great teacher and compassionate person and has worked tirelessly to promote our small school within and outside of our local community. Small schools and local communities need each other to thrive.

10.01.2022 Amphitheatre Parents and kids are meeting again this week on Friday the 30th at 10.30am at the recreation reserve tennis courts.. anyone from Surrounding areas ...are more then welcome to come join us. 10.01.2022 It's back - Due to popular demand we are having another Pie Drive from the Golden Nugget Bakery. We have always found them to be tasty and good value and the bakery really look after us. Order forms are available at the P.O. or you cam call the school and leave a message. Thanks everyone for your on going support.

09.01.2022 The lucky winner of our wood raffle is Erica Holz. Congratulations and a big thank-you to everyone who bought tickets. We raised over $400 a great effort. We would specially like to thank Adam and Hayley Richards for their kind donation of the wood.

07.01.2022 We were lucky enough to have Luke ( head chef from Chally's Bar and Bistro ) was back to do cooking with the boys. We had chicken stir-fry with Bok Choy, snow peas and carrots from our school garden and it was delicious.

05.01.2022 Today we shared an online lesson through the Daniel Morcombe Foundation about Internet Safety. Australia's biggest child safety lesson online #ABCSL for kids 8-12 years. It was an amazing and informative presentation and gives us the opportunity to help the kids understand Internet Safety especially since they have been online more lately with Remote Learning.
