08.01.2022 Mentoring for Mentors https://www.ampi.org.au/event-4490598 Did you know that it’s not only the mentee who gets benefits from mentoring? People who offer their time to mentor others also experience numerous benefits both personally and professionally, with the ultimate benefit being the positive impact you get from helping others succeed.... Darren McFarlane, director of Next Level Mentoring, will be running a webinar session both for those who are taking part in the Australian Maritime Mentoring Program as a mentor, and for mariners or pilots who are looking to gain new mentoring skills for use in their workplace. For the mentoring program to be a success we will require interested and enthusiastic mentors. Therefore, the aim of the webinar is to give you enough information on the key skills you will need as a mentor to give you confidence and energy to go and do it. Mentoring someone may even be the best thing you do all year!

03.01.2022 Gas in Port Kembla NSW Ports is pleased to announce that they have signed a long-term lease with Australian Industrial Energy to construct and operate Australia’s first ever #LNG Import Terminal at Port Kembla. We are thrilled to bring a new trade to Port Kembla, supporting its growth as an #energy hub and providing diversification and growth for the Illawarra region. The Port Kembla Gas Terminal (PKGT) development includes a floating storage and re-gasification unit and is... located a short distance from the existing Eastern Gas Pipeline which is a major natural gas arterial between Victoria and NSW. The announcement is great news for NSW and a win for the local community, delivering significant economic benefits and local jobs with more than 130 during construction and 4050 once the terminal is operational. The capital cost is $250M, with the potential for contracts worth around $76M million to be awarded to local businesses. Construction is forecast to take up to 20 months, putting the project on track to supply more than 75% of NSW’s gas needs by the end of 2022.
