24.01.2022 We begin again... After the disappointment of finding the block with rust holes deep into three cylinders in the last engine, we start all over with another. This engine is a C5DE 6015H casting which originated from a 1965 Mustang. It's a narrow block with 7 Main Bearings. It will be interesting to see what condition it's in as we pull it down...

12.01.2022 Variable Duration Hydraulic Lifters Yes, these are ridgey didge. Same as Crane Hi Intensity Lifters... These Fast-Bleed Hydraulic Lifters are designed to produce a variable duration effect by bleeding down rapidly at lower RPM ranges to reduce the effective running duration by 6-10 and decease valve lift by .020-.030 to restore engine vacuum, cylinder pressure, and low-end performance. At higher RPM levels they will produce the full duration and lift of the cam. They are... a little noisier than conventional Hydraulic Lifters, producing a tapping sound, not unlike a Mechanical or Solid Lifter.
