21.01.2022 At the start of every year I remind myself of this: I'M IN CONTROL OF MY LIFE. Yes things might go wrong... You might get some bad luck You might lose a deal or some money... but your success will depend on how you react to all these things. You are in control. Know this, WIN and have a massive 2020. Give me a in the comments if you agree

11.01.2022 A more inclusive and accessible City. Lake Mac strives to be a City that is inclusive and accessible for everyone. We are in the early stages of preparing the next version of the City's Disability Inclusion Action Plan. The draft Plan which the community will help to create will set out what we could do to support people with a disability in our City. The Disability Inclusion Action Plan will cover (the Frequently Asked Questions provide further information on these four them...es): developing positive commmunity attitudes and behaviours creating liveable communities supporting access to meaningful employment improving access to services through better systems and processes e.g. within Council and the community. There are three ways you can provide feedback to assist in the development of the draft Plan: complete the below survey (please contact us if you require a larger font survey) attend one of three drop-in sessions contact Jennifer Linton-Webb if you would like to provide verbal feedback. This consultation closes on Friday 30 October. https://shape.lakemac.com.au/disabilityinclusion

07.01.2022 Although many of us have been isolating as early as February, the NSW Government commenced restrictions on 16 March 2020 and continued onto a full lock down on 31 March. There does appears to be a light at the end of the tunnel, and it has been hinted it could be the end of June where we may be able to resume some normal activities. Hopefully Amputees of Newcastle & Northern Regions have managed to avoid the Wuhan Virus and remained healthy. With the help of family and fr...iends many of us have been able to stay out of shopping centres, as well as, taken advantage of medical appointments via the telephone. Those that are registered with or have a 'home care' package will know that they will also do your shopping, Many places will undertake home delivery, for example Dan Murphy's and Bunnings. Another organisation that has provided an additional service is Lake Macquarie City Council Library. You may order books online and they are delivered fortnightly. ) published an order criminalising public events where there are, or are likely to be, more than 500 people in attendance So everyone, hang in there, I think we must be nearly on the down hill run to the finish line. Stay Safe and remain healthy.

06.01.2022 Hi Everyone, I know by now that you will have heard that South Australia has decided to close its borders from Tuesday onward. Of course this effectively means... that the Open scheduled for the 30th March through to the 3rd April will have to be postponed until a later date. I know that you will be disappointed, no more than myself, but it is what it is and we have no control over it, so we must just accept it and get on with life. At an A.G.A. Board meeting this evening it was decided that we will attempt in the next few days to reschedule the event with The Links golf club for the second half of this year. As soon as we know details we will inform you so that you have enough time to rearrange your plans to attend. Till then take good care of yourselves and I hope to see you soon. Cheers GK See more
