25.01.2022 The Amma - Sunshine Coast team were busy today with their first every Mother's Kitchen! They served up a delicious Indian feast of dhal, potato and cauliflower curry, steamed vegetables, rice and papadam. Desert was warm apple crumble. 23.01.2022 Last Friday, Amrita Pantry Project donated our first delivery of food and essentials to the Byron Community Centre Pantry. Our donation supported the delivery of 20 boxes which will support meals for around 50 people! A huge thank you to all who have supported this project so far. The Amrita Pantry team were on board all morning helping to pack the boxes. It was a joyous experience and Louise the General Manager at Byron Community Centre and the other volunteers at the community pantry were so happy we were able to help so many families in this time of need. #Amma #loveandserve Please let us know if you would like to be involved in our project. 22.01.2022 Mother’s Kitchen Sunshine Coast was in full swing this week. The team cooked up 3 curries which were served with rice, papadams and roast veggie salad. For those who had room there was pear crumble with maple syrup/coconut custard. They served up 27 mains and 29 deserts ... and also stocked the Nambour Community Centre freezers with 39 main meals and 11 deserts ... these will be distributed to those in need throughout the month as part of their daily drop in service. #Amma #loveandserve

17.01.2022 Mother's Kitchen Canberra cooked and served up a delicious meal this month! Around 50 Red Cross Roadhouse patrons enjoyed a summer meal of: 'rainbow' salad with homemade avocado coriander dressing, fragrant herbed rice, homestyle tomato chickpeas, and triple choc brownies. It was a joyful day for the volunteers who contributed in different ways ... grocery shopping, veggie prep, cooking, baking and serving the meals. If you are interested in joining Mother's Kitchen or supporting it in any way including food donations, please get in touch. 16.01.2022 Mother's Kitchen Melbourne started in Nov 2011, and is still cooking up sumptuous meals! Yesterday we served nearly 40 take-away lunch packages at the beautiful Anglican Parish of Jika Jika. We had pasta and satay-flavoured roast vegetables, salad, bread/butter, and muffins with apple sauce. Neatly and safely packed for takeaway!! 12.01.2022 A big thank you to all of you who have supported our Amrita Pantry - Byron Bay Food Drive so far! The generosity and kindness of all who have donated has been so inspiring. Tuesday’s donations supported deliveries to 54 households or 133 individuals. Special thanks for generous donations of 25 packets of Paleo Cinnamon Muesli, Croissants, Danishes and more from local Mullumbimby businesses Farmer Jo’s and Baker and Daughter, and to ALL the wonderful volunteers who contributed to this week's delivery. #Amma #loveandserve

09.01.2022 Amrita Australia is also helping to fund construction costs of the AIMS Faridabad Healthcare facility in Delhi NCR, North India. The hospital will have a strong focus on mother-and-child healthcare and will include a highly specialised multidisciplinary Children’s Hospital with maternal and foetal medicine. #Amma #loveandserve

08.01.2022 We wanted to share a wonderful project with you! Amma Sunshine Coast have created a Community Garden on a local permaculture property. The land is gifted by the owners who support the team with knowledge, seedlings and organic fertiliser. The produce raised is used in their monthly Mother's Kitchen to feed the homeless and those in need. #Amma #loveandserve

03.01.2022 We're reaching out to the local and wider community, individuals, able businesses, organisations and other interested parties for donations of fresh and non-perishable food and personal care items including; fresh vegetable and fruits, bulk foods, long life milk, coconut and rice milk, muesli (normal and gluten free), tinned foods (spaghetti, beans, baked beans etc), pasta, tomato/herb pasta sauces, toilet paper, shampoo and conditioner, tissues and soaps. These items will be... collected as part of a food drive and donated to the Byron Bay Community pantry.
