25.01.2022 Changing the culture wont be easy nor quick but we can do it one step at a time. FMSS conducted a bullying and harassment survey among MD3s and 4s last year and informed the result to the College. FMSS also created an confidential incident report which is also available on FMSS website. FMSS holds the safety and well-being of its memebers as an utmost priority.

21.01.2022 FMSS and AMSS present: AMSS vs FMSS Flampire Cup! Did you know that Australia is currently struggling to achieve 14,000 blood donations WEEKLY? Already, over 800 appointments per day are being cancelled due to COVID-19, and Australia is struggling to achieve the bare minimum. If you are healthy and well, why not save 3 lives AND #SupportLocal ? This year, we will be running a friendly Blood Donation Selfie Competition between FMSS and AMSS from 29th March till 9th May. All y...ou have to do is post a selfie at the donation centre, and nominate 3 people of your choice to do the same! Each selfie from a donor centre will be considered as an entry to the draw; more entries = more points you earn for YOUR UNI towards the competition. Every fortnight, we will be randomly drawing one winner from each university, and at the end of the competition, there will be an overall final prize up for grabs. See more

18.01.2022 FREE confidential telemedicine mental health services Australian doctors and medical students will now have access to free, confidential telemedicine mental health services through the new Drs4Drs Telehealth Support Service. Established by the Doctors Health Services Limited (DrHS), this service has been co-designed for doctors and medical students. This service is completely confidential and doesn't collect identifying information. Doctors and medical students may receive up to 3 free telehealth counselling sessions, that will link you up with additional state-based Drs4Drs services to help you navigate and access further appropriate care.

05.01.2022 Last Sunday, our FMSS members in Adelaide 2021 National Convention Team stood by AMSA Crossing Borders to march at home for refugees around the world. We hope to end detention especially during this high risk period due to COVID19. #detentionharmshealth
