24.01.2022 www.amtechnology.com.au is finally live.

20.01.2022 Well after a rash of people losing data recently I thought I'd repost this from last year. BACKUP,BACKUP,BACKUP. I you have documents, photos, or any other files that are important to you. Back them up. That means 2 copies. Get yourself an external hard drive, or even just a thumb drive. These things are cheap as chips and can save you the heartache of losing your precious memories, important work. Don't rely solely on one device. Things fail. I've seen it enough and had eno...ugh people lose everything because they keep only one copy. If your computer is running out of space because you have a bunch of movies on the hard drive cut and paste them to an external (you can always get them again). But always have a second copy of your important files. Seriously.... a 1Tb portable drive is around $90. Having one of these to back up to every week or two could save you thousands of dollars on a data recovery service (which may not recover everything). Just ask yourself.... "How important are your memories?" See more

20.01.2022 Okay... So. .. When we say it's a good idea to take your computer in for a clean up it's not just a software clean. This machine has failed in a big way due to something that could have easily been avoided. Dust inside a computer like this removes the ability of the fans to do their job (keep things cool). Heat in a computer causes things to run slow and also leads to heat related failure of components. Lesson for today. .. A clean computer is a cool computer.

19.01.2022 Ok Guys time for tip #1. I cannot stress this enough. I've seen it enough and had enough people lose everything because t...hey keep only one copy. If your computer is running out of space because you have a bunch of movies on the hard drive cut and paste them to an external (you can always get them again). But always have a second copy of your important files. Seriously.... a 500Gb portable drive is around $70. Having one of these to back up to every week or two could save you thousands of dollars on a data recovery service (which may not recover everything). Just ask yourself.... "How important are your memories?" See more

01.01.2022 Hey guys. Well it looks like summer is here. Don't forget your computer... They get hot too. When was the last time you had it cleaned on the inside? Computers have fans and coolers in them like radiators in cars (minus the water usually) unfortunately the fans act like vacuum cleaners and they eventually get clogged up with dust and pet hairs making them not work as they should. This makes them run hot and your computer will either start to run very slow or in extreme cases overheat and start to randomly shut down as a safety measure. If your machine is starting to show signs of overheating or if you just havn't cleaned it in the last year or so. Give me a call and i'll pick it up and give it a good clean. I can also help with any viruses it might have.
