13.01.2022 This weeks AMTRA Big Trip throw back is an oldy, covering 3000km over 14 days. We must be getting soft these days. The video improves after the first few minutes. https://youtu.be/1AHj8v2Im-k

13.01.2022 And a few more pics of yesterdays fabulous ride at Bute.....

11.01.2022 With the usual Vic high country big trips cancelled due to border closures, six riders and two in the support vehicle spent the week in the Flinders. There was no shortage of fantastic riding to be had, with 1800km of mostly dirt roads, trails and 4WD tracks covered. We started from Gawler and stayed in Orroroo and Hawker Hotels (via Hammond, Wilmington, Quorn and Kanyaka), then onto Arkaroola Village via Flinders NP, Angorichina, PAR and IPA tracks. The back roads on the fir...st day were pretty muddy and the Broughton River was flowing well when we rode through it. There were plenty of challenging hill climbs around Arkaroola, including on the Echo Camp Backtrack. This 'adventure' ride differed from the normal club enduo rides, with 200km between fuel stops, a few road sections and some days up around 400 ks. This format certainly opens up additional riding options. I hope we can do more of it in the future now we have so many KTM 690s (or similar) in the club, which are ideal for rides such as this. With awesome trails, good company and ideal conditions, it was a fantastic week on the trail! See more

11.01.2022 Another weekend of fantastic trails, huge camp fires and good company.

11.01.2022 COVID-19 Update - After a delayed start, AMTRA rides will kick off again (with a 20 bike limit and social distancing) on the 8th June. There is a ride every weekend in June! Now is the time to re-new your membership or check out Team App for more details.

11.01.2022 What a novel idea.

10.01.2022 Looks like the boys who are heading out on the Mannum ride tomorrow have a ripper day that should be dust free! Hopefully the rain will stay away for them in the afternoon. The Gawler ride is on next weekend and Bute the weekend after. There are another couple of rides in the pipeline after some discussion at last weeks club meeting. As Covid restrictions are easing further the 20 rider limit is lifted after this weekend and with the borders set to open it is looking good for the rest of the riding season with some cracking rides to be scheduled as soon as we know the borders are open. Stay tuned for more.

10.01.2022 This weeks AMTRA SA YouTube Video is a classic from the 83 Big trip - Roopena and cape york! https://youtu.be/m1fedyRrKV0

08.01.2022 Perfect conditions and 22 starters on the York Peninsula today!

07.01.2022 Anyone for a spin on the beach aboard your roadie???

04.01.2022 Seems like 80% of cylinder heads I strip, to check and clean....have deformed inlet valves like this Are people taking the time when prepping their air filte...rs? Are they greasing the filter lip? Are they inspecting the inside of the air box upon replacing their filters. Although there are some known problem valves out there. On some of the earlier model MX bikes. Most of this occurs when the engines breathes sand/dust. You can prevent this with a better technique when servicing your air filter #dontbelazy #greasethelip #nospraysallowed #cleanyourairbox

02.01.2022 Sums this year up for me!

02.01.2022 There’s a couple of cracking weekend rides coming up, the south east ball tearer is a couple of weeks away and only confirmed tonight, and, after being cancelled due to covid in June, the Flinders ride is go for the October long weekend. Definitely a bit of an effort to attend both of these a week apart but you’ll be rewarded by the great riding on both of these legendary weekends!
