17.01.2022 Great day at Upper Hunter Dressage Assoc. Club Champs today! Asham Caramello, heart horse/Wonder Pony/SuperStar excelled herself with a 2nd in Prelim 1C (69.46%) and a 3rd in Novice 2C (71.86%). But, even better than the ribbons, the judges’ comments really warm my heart. Harmonious is literally what I strive for, on every horse I ride! Sometimes, it’s hard to resonate at Caramello’s frequency, because she’s such a fierce little warhorse!! It’s wonderful to know that we can... work together, even if my heart rate stats show exactly how much I had to up the ante to match her!! Another massive takeaway is that we have recently discovered that Caramello has equine asthma. Her asthma was making it very difficult to do her job, and this is her first competition since starting treatment for it. It’s super important that if you have a horse that isn’t living up to your expectations, that you ask Why? and assume that *if the horse could, then it would*. Just this one generous assumption improves the quality of your horse’s life! NB- also works for kids and spouses...

Because booking a lesson time slot has become so competitive that its like an equestrian version of the Hunger Games, I'm going to ask all my spectacularly awesome students to use my fancy online scheduling app to book their lessons.
