21.01.2022 I will never recommend a product to a client unless I have tried and tested it myself and had success. One product youve probably heard me mention that both of my horses are on is Succeed Equine Succeed was an absolute game changer for Soli. After considering retiring him because he was just so spooky and not confident and just so anxious all the time it didnt seem fair to continue to ask him to do things he clearly wasnt happy to do. ... I would eat dirt 3 times in a jump lesson and never had a pleasant ride. After putting him on Succeed I started seeing small changes little by little. Hes been on the product 18 months now and Ive never looked back! Both my horses look amazing and are going amazing and thats a huge tick for gut health! This product is the reason I am such a huge advocate for your horses gut health. I dont lie when I say it changed my horses! It makes me smile to see clients have success with the product and get their old companion back Ive seen gut health be the reason for a number of different behavioural and even soundness issues. Its quite incredible. 14.01.2022 Yesterday we brushed off the cob webs with an in hand lesson with Ann Montgomery It’s been awhile since we have done in hand So much still to improve on but he’s come such a long way It’s amazing when you’re on the ground how many things your horse does to compensate or avoid correct load that you miss in the saddle or may even try to correct in a different way... Yesterday we worked on : Keeping the near fore from falling in or out when moving off and keeping him on his train tracks Off Side fore tracking straight instead of medial Avoiding snaking of the body to avoid load. Soli likes to be a wiggle worm. I definitely need to stop being lazy and fit regular in hand work back into my training schedule! 04.01.2022 Something I learnt from competing at Wooroloo was that I needed to be stronger during the XC phase. Jumping Soli fills me with a fair bit of anxiety due to many years of eating dirt with nasty stops. *Touch wood * things seem to be on the up. However the adrenaline and anxiety mixed into XC bowls me over. So Mondays are now dedicated to track fitness for us both (me more so ) I played around with the biomechanics of my body to ensure my angles etc were correct to give me ...maximum stability with minimal muscle fatigue (DNS seems to go out the window when your brains moving 1000kmph) HOWEVER.... applying the principles in the training, Im hoping over the next few weeks that things will get better Watch this space
