From this week, posters like this will be appearing in Sydney Airport in a bid to get the complex issue of forced marriage on the radar of Australians. The campaign offers pathways of support for people who may be at risk of being trafficked overseas and forced to marriage someone against their will. 05.01.2022 Just had a look at the new and improved Notice of Intended Marriage. Instead of Bridegroom and Bride, the columns are now Party 1 and Party 2. Individuals are also able to select if they identify as male, female or indeterminate/unspecified. Celebrants can officially accept NOIMs from same sex couples from tomorrow, Saturday 9 December.
