24.01.2022 Cat level: of 5 My cat is an jerk... Not pictured: the puppy watching this happen through the sliding glass door and barking her indignation.... Just so you know how petty this is, the cat doesn't even eat his own dry food.
23.01.2022 I have been named a finalist in 2020 Altitude Awards Best Professional Service Business category! This award is for a professional services business that trades in time or expertise in specific areas or genres. I am so proud to have been recognised by this wonderful group!... The Altitude Awards are jointly presented by Women with Altitude & The Men's Altitude Network. They are held annually to provide an opportunity to acknowledge those who have made outstanding contributions as business owners, volunteers, employees, creative thinkers and leaders. Women with Altitude founder, Andrea Turner-Boys said, We look forward to this time each year when we celebrate and champion the achievements of individuals and teams from our regions. Each finalist has been chosen for their outstanding contributions in their field and will be presented with their finalist certificates at regional networking events across NSW and the ACT, throughout the month of September. An independent judging panel adjudicates the awards, and winners of each category will be announced at a gala awards ball on Saturday 7th November at the LCC Event Centre in Preston NS

22.01.2022 Guess who I met this week! I got to have a consultation with the amazing Sophia Choi of Attention Experts. I do a lot of social media work for my clients, but I tend to focus of teaching them ways to start creating their own social media content and how to be effective. When I need someone to delve deep and really analyse what I'm doing with my own socials, I have to call in the big guns. Thank you to Women with Altitude for introducing me to Sophia, and thank you Sophia for helping me find my motivation again and really use my time wisely.

21.01.2022 "Mental health conditions like anxiety or depression can affect anyone at any time. Its important to know that these conditions are health conditions, like cat...ching a cold, not a weakness or character flaw. The good news is they can be managed and treated by health professionals. If youve been feeling sad, worried, stressed, angry, numb or just not yourself for two weeks or more, or if you would like extra support managing your mental wellbeing, speak to your GP about how youre feeling. They might be able to help you, or might refer you to a psychologist or counsellor. Sometimes just telling someone about how youre feeling is the first step towards feeling better." - from the article below If you are looking for someone to talk to, start your GP, and ask to get a referral to see Dr. David Stevens - visit www.profstevens.com for more information on his approach to psychology.

21.01.2022 www.anadhoclifestyle.com.au is now a green website thanks to GreenGeeks I was looking for a new webhost, because I really wanted to not be charged an arm and a leg for nonexistent customer service, and I stumbled upon GreenGeeks. I didn't realise the environmental impact of our data servers and internet industry!! I am happy to have found a solution that meets my needs for my website and does their part to minimise their impact.
21.01.2022 This weeks blog is all about getting your computer organised! no more searching for that file you just downloaded, or that attachment you thought you had a copy of... Let's make our lives simpler. Organisation the An Ad Hoc Lifestyle way!
20.01.2022 After an amazing meetup with Women with Altitude, where we discussed the words we used to identify with our business and the power behind them, I have refocused my mission and vision for An Ad Hoc Lifestyle . They were good before, but parts of them just didn't seem perfect to me. All it took was a bit of brainstorming with some amazing people to get the picture very clear in my mind.0
19.01.2022 Lets chat! Do you have any questions for me? About the business, my life, education, motivation - favourite colour, video games - why Patrick Stewart was the best captain... whatever!... Please remember to keep it respectful in the comments
19.01.2022 Have we mentioned that you can find our older shows on Mixcloud now?? Because you can... You can find every single recording since we started doing podcasts o...f our broadcasts on there... I'm talking October 2017 onwards... It's ALL there! 67 archived episodes.... ALL transferred over... I'm going to collapse in a heap now, but I do sincerely hope you enjoy the podcasts! Some of them are amazingly unique and I'm glad they are archived <3 https://www.mixcloud.com/ARTHouseRBMFM/ - Elizabeth
18.01.2022 What is a skill you learned out of necessity? An Ad Hoc Lifestyle was born from this concept... If I don't know something, I learn how to do it. Today... I get to learn how to edit a person out of video! -ugh- I did my interview for the next episode of {In the Mountains} and I focused the camera on the interviewee, then being COVID safe, tried not to crowd her too much... and inadvertently cropped myself half out of most of the shots! ... So! Watch this space to see my journey into video editting :) What have you learned lately?
17.01.2022 Thank you! My first milestone and its all thanks to you. Thank you for being a part of my journey and making this possible. The 100 like mark is important because a lot of analytics programs wont collate data about your pages until you have 100 followers/likes.
15.01.2022 What is the one thing that you do in your business, at work, or in your daily life that you would love to hand over to someone else? (Sorry, I don't do laundry. I hate the folding. Not sorry.) Let's find some ways that we can make things easier for you!

10.01.2022 What does your dream job look like? My dream job looks like this: Getting to use all of my skills - I've spent a lifetime building up my interests and skills, and I'd like to get to use them all.... Meeting a lot of new people - I love meeting people. There are certain types of interaction that I find draining, but meeting people isn't one of them. The idea that I'd get to work with new people and problems all the time is exciting. Setting my own hours - I have a billion kids* and one of the most important things for me is that I have the ability to be there for them when they need me. So, setting my own hours and workload is extremely valuable. Hmmm... I guess I created my dream job! Its a lifestyle, An {AD HOC} Lifestyle.

08.01.2022 "My name is not Ishmael; nor is it Daedelas. It is dettut. Pronounce this day 2. Reverse tutte and add the d to make de and then you get of every man.... Note the lower case d. Thats deliberate too. I want people to feel the equality between us. So I am not a proper noun; just common." - from OWL: One World League by d'ettut See more
07.01.2022 Why did I start {In the Mountains}? Find out in my latest blog!
07.01.2022 I love bullet journaling, but I quickly realised that it was taking up more time to create then I was saving by being organised. It quickly got abandoned. I have taken my favourite parts of the bullet journaling process and made it into a digital/printable template! The 2021 planner includes:... 2021 monthly calendars a repeatable weekly template a yearly expense forecast template a TO DO list template a yearly reminder and prompt page a daily reminder and tracking page template You can print these out, use them digitally or edit them with a pdf editor. https://www.anadhoclifestyle.com.au//2021-personal-planner/ You can also take a look at it in my FB shop!
