18.01.2022 Behind the covers of this nondescript book is hours of work, travel and analysis! I work on the Major Projects Report (MPR), a 10 person team that reviews the biggest Defence equipment purchases - ships, jets, helicopters, and more! Every day is a little different, but Ive developed skills in teamwork, interviewing, report drafting, data analysis and even a bit of financial auditing. We also have a lot of grads rotate in for shorter periods - maybe next year itll be you!

16.01.2022 The 2020 grads are back in the (ANAO) house! Many of our graduates, including Kevin (below), have spent much of their first year working from home not exactly your typical graduate experience! Hear from Kevin about how he's gone this year and what it's like being back at the office. It’s refreshing to be back in the office, working alongside and catching up with my colleagues! For a large portion of my graduate year I had to work from home but regular virtual training, t...he people and some good IT made the sudden change to WFH a breeze. I also made the most of my days working from home by keeping up my fitness in between meetings, and going for walks around my neighbourhood whenever I needed to take a quick break. 11.01.2022 As an executive grad, a lot of my time is spent in the executive conference room, sitting in on meetings attended by the Auditor-General and the Deputy Auditor-General. This is where the strategic discussions take place, important decisions are made, audit reports are polished, and all formatting errors are fixed in strict accordance with the ANAO Style Guide!

07.01.2022 Is this a conference? Internal training on financial skills or government appropriations? A fascinating guest speaker? Not this time (although we do all those things and more!). This is trivia we had last night for our new grads! We laughed, we danced, we acted with integrity - and the grads were able to learn about their new city and workplace with pizza in hand. Doesnt get any better than that! Ive had a great year as a grad and a great week showing you the awesome things we get to do - why not join in!?
