22.01.2022 *** WARNING TO PET OWNERS BELDON/CRAIGIE AREA *** RSPCA WA has received reports of possible poisoning in the Beldon and Craigie area within a short space of t...ime. Three dogs and a cat became ill and had symptoms consistent with poisoning or baiting in four separate reports. Two dogs are back at home now, recovering. One dog remains at the vet, but the cat sadly did not survive. RSPCA is warning owners to keep an eye on their pets. We do not know if this is a result of baiting. Please keep your dogs on leash when out walking, and pay attention to anything they show interest in. Do not let them ingest any foreign items. If your pet shows symptoms of poisoning (if they become lethargic, lose coordination or become wobbly on their legs, or lose their appetites), get them to a vet as soon as possible. If you notice any suspicious looking items when out walking your pets, please report it to the RSPCA Cruelty Hotline on 1300 278 358.
