25.01.2022 Yesterday was the first day if my alcohol Ink workshop at the #rockinghamartcentre. To be honest I was pretty anxious on the leads up to it. It was supposed to run in March April this year but got cancelled due to Covid. When the wait is so long the tension is growing. It all went well in the end. No I didn't create a masterpiece in front of the audience while commenting on my steps (don't think anyone expected it apart from me). But I think everyone had fun playing with the... inks and being in the moment. The wonderful atmosphere was definitely there. And if that's the case, my goal is achieved. I highly recommend Anastasia's masterclasses and weekly webinars where she does English translation for the key points and answers questions in her life stream and under publications in her youtube chennel. 25.01.2022 Rus Recently I have been again occused of wanting everything. That I take on too many media, dispursing my creative energy, refuse to set boundaries. That to get good results I have to chose. Yep. But in my creative path I act as my heart tells me. And I am only recovering the ability to hear it behind the routine and what makes sense. Creativity is not about the skill of painting. And it's certainly not gift that some people have by defalt and others don't. Creativity i...s a free bird. Listen to it, offer the food it wants, that fussy beast, tame it, then learn to co-exist. But can you ever own it? Creativity is a little bit of a miricle, and miricles happen, when the free bird flies in and out of your open rib cage. Just breathe.. 20.01.2022 Comet Bay, 56 / 38 cm Rus Last month we had so many events at school, plus this commission - at some point I felt Iike I lived at school. That brought back the memories of the times I used to be a primary school student and both my parents were teachers but in high school classes of the same school. ... After lessons I would come to the high school building and wait for mom or dad to finish their work and go home. Sometimes I was playing outside. That was my world consisting of sunny autumn days, maple leaves, store room of history class with black curtains, projector and diafilms, big sunny window of Russian language and literature class with sheer curtains, geranium and Tolstoy, Pushkin and Dostoevsky on the wall. School is a special place for me indeed. And even earlier before all this, me - a toddler playing her favourite toy - metal drum - in the corner of the school hall (during the classes) - where my grandma used to work. I highly recommend their masterclasses, and even though most instrictions are done in Russian language, lots of tutorials are available with English subtitles. My next painting challenge will be 'Perspective in watercolours' with @kustova_anastasia a very talented artist and generous arts teacher who explains complext concepts in simple words making those puzzles really click for you. 05.01.2022 'Geraldton wax' is 1 out of 3 paintings I have submitted into Mixed Media Exhibition that opened its doors for the public today at Gary Holland Centre. This is the biggest painting I've ever done 90 60 cm with the frame. Watercolour on board primed with watercolour ground. 02.01.2022 This is a commission I painted a month ago for somone special for my client, who had her birthday recently. Right now I'm so much into my new job I have absolutely zero energy to paint. I feel like I need some inspiration from outside, because discipline is failing to tiredness. But I know I want to fly again..... Этот заказ я закончила больше месяца назад. 01.01.2022 Девушка с косой, или как отметить Хэллоуин, чтоб было стыдно рассказать, но приятно вспомнить. Пока мне не рисуется, запощу работу с марафона @enterclass по перспективе от @kustova_anastasia и Хэллоуинскую байку. Начну с того, что я редко вписывалась в свое окружение. В институте училась на престижном факультете среди серьезных людей с амбициями работать в иностранных компаниях - после лекций бегала в художку, тусовалась с панками, ролевиками, театралами. Работала в иностран...ной компании в коммерческом отделе - писала стихи в рабочих блокнотах, вечером бегала на рок концерты (прям в костюме).. вся моя юность прошла с этим ощущением неуместности, неловкости, будто я недотягиваю, но и не помещаюсь в рамки своей роли. Однажды курсе на третьем меня пригласили отпраздновать Хэллоуин в компании ролевиков. Как вы представляете подготовку к такому событию? Продуманный выбор роли, аутентичный костюм, атрибуты.. За неделю до - купила 5 метров черной подкладочной ткани и поехала к бабушке в Корсаков шить мантию Смерти (у бабушки была ручная машинка), за 2 дня до - нашла настоящую косу, которую можно было позаимствовать на ночь в местном музыкальном магазине после закрытия с условием принести к открытию на следующий день. На вечеринке оказалось, что я единственная заморочилась с костюмом, а в этой компании упор делается не на антураж, а на знание персонажа и актерскую игру (которая мне, прямо скажем, не давалась) поэтому я весь вечер просидела в углу, слушала разговоры умных начитанных ребят, вдохновленных персонажами Средиземья и снова чувствовала себя как белый медведь в Австралии. В то время на Сахалине с приходом холодов начинались веерные отключения света, квартал погрузился в темноту. От того ярче искрились первые пушистые снежинки в свете фонарей той ночью. Утром первой парой был немецкий у декана факультета, а магазин, куда нужно было вернуть косу был еще закрыт. 'Entschuldigen Sie bitte, ich bin zu spät', извиняюсь за опоздание. Ставлю косу в угол. 01.01.2022 Rus No, this work wasn't painted with 4 and a half sticks. I used about 30. Did you know that pastels consist of pure colour pignent(s), binder and black and white pigment added in different proportions to create variation in hue and value. So each colour makes 3 to 7 shades made into pastel sticks.
