12.01.2022 Trivia Tuesday! Did you know that changes or "damage" on imaging (MRI/x-ray/ultrasound/CT scan) have a poor correlation with symptoms and prognosis! A systematic review in 2018 found that 43% of people over 40 without knee problems, had significant cartilage defects on MRI, 19% had Meniscal tearing and 18% had bone lesions and spurring.... THESE PEOPLE DID NOT HAVE PAIN OR CHANGES IN FUNCTION! Studies like this add to our body of knowledge telling us that imaging is not diagnostic of problems, nor predictive of symptoms. A good clinical assessment of your pain is essential to get the best diagnosis, treatment and prognosis.

We are, however, taking extra precautions to protect you, your family, our staff and community from Covid-19 (Novel Coronavirus).
