13.01.2022 Driving Exploring Working This will be the first time I’ve experienced freelancing while travelling. We are taking roughly 5-6 weeks to drive from Brisbane to Perth. Some days will be filled with site seeing and driving, other days will be spent working on lots of design projects from logos, packaging design, illustrations and websites. 11.01.2022 Let’s finish this week off strong I thought that it’s about time that I share a little bit about myself to those who are new to following me ~ I was born in Brisbane, Australia and currently I still am in Brisbane. I studied interior design straight out of school, then shortly after fell in love and moved to the UK where I lived, worked and travelled for two years. We came back and I decided to study graphic design and continued onto do my honours in motion graphics. I hav...e since been fortunate to work for some large national and international companies. During this down time we all have, I am trying my best to stay motivated and make the most of this valuable time by upskilling. I am in the process of learning code animation with some online courses with @hisuperhi . I am also trying to get outdoors twice a day to walk my dog and do some exercise ~ getting those endorphins and creativity flowing. I would love to hear a little bit about you all. Where your from, what you’re doing and what your tips for these unique times are.

I thought this would be a good time to share my experience with you all and as I have a lot of creatives following my account I thought this might be a good opportunity for all us creatives to share our tips and advice with each other, even if it’s just a funny meme. .... I was working full time for a hospitality and lifestyle company in Brisbane while also doing my freelance side hustle. Unfortunately due to hospo not being able function as normal, I lost my job. This has led me to turn my side hustle into my fulltime hustle. Which is kind of exciting! Not the best time to do it, but when is there ever a good time? . My tips for finding work and up skilling during this pandemic: (please share your tips with me as well) PORTFOLIO ~ Update your online portfolio/website with your latest work and update your social accounts - LinkedIn, Facebook and instagram. Highlight in your portfolio and socials how you can use your skill set and experience to help clients during this time. JOB SEARCH~ Keep a look out on seek, the loop and LinkedIn for contract, freelance or part time jobs around the world that may suit your skills. Reach out to recruitment agencies on LinkedIn and let them know what you are looking for and your skill set. Set alerts to notify you when new jobs become available. UPSKILL~ @hisuperhi are offering a free plan, design + code online course. Great way to start your portfolio website if you don’t already have one - it’s only 4 hours of videos. LYnda.com - free online courses for anything from: Lightroom, photoshop to animation. (To access these courses you can connect online through your local library) @procreate + @skillshare are teaming up to provide you with 2 months free subscription on skillshare and a procreate carepack @udemy are providing some free courses at the moment ranging from coding, photography to time management & influencing.
