25.01.2022 A new book added to the collection. This book was given to Minnie Berrington, author of Stones of Fire, by her brother Victor.

24.01.2022 New fossil first day cover.

24.01.2022 New to the collection, a pocket of opalised bones, possibly a plesiasaur from Tea Tree.

21.01.2022 Took a few photos of random pieces from our collection this morning. Opal in quartz, matrix, opal in quartz, opalised shell plate and another piece of matrix. Hundreds of pieces to go, so will post some more later.

11.01.2022 An amazing partily opalised 20Kg Andamooka rock full of shells found yesterday. There are 4 varieties that I can see and it now resides in our museum.

09.01.2022 Lovely day for mining today, quantity was there but quality left a lot to be desired. Only a couple of little eyes of colour.

09.01.2022 New pieces in underground display. Indonesian opal and opal on amethyst from Brazil.

09.01.2022 The new opal coin just added to our underground collection. There are 14 other opal coins including the Andamooka commemorative 1930 penny on display. I am sure the mint struck the 1930 penny on the founding of Andamooka, as our town has now been going for 90 years.
