08.01.2022 Our team spent some time yesterday with one of our clients to help prepare their staff to work from home when the need arises. Having done this for a number of clients now, and also internally ourselves, here are some quick questions you should ask when preparing for staff to work from home 1. Can your team perform their roles at home? Do they need to be onsite, or is it possible to complete tasks remotely?... 2. Do they have an adequate office setup? i.e. a suitable desk, chair, monitors, etc. If not, can they borrow equipment from work? 3. Do you have suitable communication channels for team members at home? i.e. Microsoft Teams, Zoom, GoToMeeting, VOIP phones, etc? 4. Are staff able to access the tools they require? i.e. key business systems, the right security privileges? 5. Do they have a secure connection? i.e. setting up a VPN back to the office, and making sure you have multi-factor authentication turned on. 6. Is their anti-virus software adequate to protect their computer - and your company data? If not, many security providers can extend business licensing to home PCs. We all understand that the situation is changing constantly and is causing uncertainty across our society.
