25.01.2022 Hi Folks. Neil from 'My Mother Had One of Those' antiques, vintage collectables and estate jewellery stall at Old Petrie Town precinct here. I'd just like to clarify our position in these times of trouble. We will continue to attend our stall within Mumford Barn at Old Petrie Town Dayboro Rd Whiteside/Petrie every Sunday from 7.30 am till 1.30 pm as will many of our Mumford Barn neighbours.... We do ask however that customers continue to observe the recommended health guidelines as will we. 23.01.2022 We'll be there Sunday mornings in the Mumford Barn, Old Petrie Town despite the doom and gloom. . Our neighbouring ethnic and Aussie food stores also for quality takeaway coffee, burgers, Indonesian, German sausages, juices, waffles and omelettes, home made ginger beer, along with the leather goods maker and the bookseller lady. Cool little community sticking together. Always buying and trading your gold bits and pieces.. Dig it out and bring it in. Have a rare miniature travelling preacher's folding pump organ coming in soon for the musical instrument collector along with plenty other goodies including men's vintage Omega wristwatch. See pics

16.01.2022 All of the Old Petrie Town Sunday Morning Market will be opening this Sunday 30th August 2020 including all sellers in Mumford Barn - namely food and drink vendors, bookshop, leatherwork man, face painter, and the antiques and collectables shop (ie me). Be safe.

14.01.2022 Opening up again this Sunday 21st June. 8 till 1. Bringing 3 new larger rustic pieces in, namely a 60s vintage Rocking Horse, a Singer treadle sewing machine with 7 drawers and a big wooden tatty dome top Pirates chest. We have a world traveller's collection of Sterling Silver teaspoons c1910 and some other rustic smaller items as well. Always paying fair prices for your unwanted gold pieces of any type, age or condition or swapping them for something you like in the shop. That way cash doesn't have to come into it. Another special attraction at Old Petrie Town these days is our regular vintage car club displays all round the market. We are of course mindful of taking sensible precautions to minimise risk of the spread of viruses.

Some Mumford Barn food sellers (eg the indonesian satay people amongst others) are opening tomorrow Sunday14th but not all. In the meantime have a browse on our website mymotherhadoneofthose.com and if you like anything, let us know and you can pick it up on the 21st at Old Petrie Town. ... 10.01.2022 My Mother Had One of Those has reopened as restrictions have eased. - so have the yummy food stores surrounding us!! Lookee at a coupla new things we have on display, namely an original Roebuck Rocking Horse c1950s, some parts for AJS motorcycle c1929 - toolbox illustrated) , a esky that looks like a dunny (or vice versa) etc. Also have original Singer Treadle 7 drawer sewing machine, rustic dome top "pirates" chest, some more vintage gold rings. Worth a visit. Bring your unwanted gold items to swap or sell. (We pay well)
