24.01.2022 Some time ago I found my grandfathers violin and decided I needed to draw it and bring it back to life. I have Museum-quality Fine-Art reproductions (Giclee Prints) available. They are made with an ultra-high-resolution fine-art printer, using archival inks and paper. Please contact me if youre interested. Original is drawn on Arches paper with colour pencils. Approximately A3 in size.

24.01.2022 This is taking a long time to draw and I feel like Im going cross eyed from all the wrinkles. Thank you wildlife reference photos for the photo and Bonny Snowdon for the technique tips.

22.01.2022 I think I’m going to be seeing elephant wrinkles in my sleep tonight. I’m finding it challenging to get the textures looking right. I am enjoying it though. Thank you wildlife reference photos for the photo and Bonny Snowdon for the technique tips

17.01.2022 An oldie but one that I was very pleased with. I havent drawn any flowers for quite a while. This was done with pastels on canson Mi-Teintes.

15.01.2022 I LVE BUNNIES! Im using drafting film for the first time to draw this little bunny. Really enjoying the new experience. Because the grain grain of the paper is so fine a lot of detail can be added. Thank you to Bonny Snowdon for teaching me the techniques and tricks that can be used when drawing on this surface.

14.01.2022 All set to start something new. Im using the grid system to draw the outline. I havent used this technique for years! Breaking the image into smaller components makes the whole thing a lot easier.

11.01.2022 This started as a drawing. I then cut it from high quality paper using a Sharp scalpel and shaped the paper using a variety of tools. I used my fathers antique book press to create the embossed wire fencing.

10.01.2022 This is taking a long time to draw and I feel like I’m going cross eyed from all the wrinkles. Thank you wildlife reference photos for the photo and Bonny Snowdon for the technique tips.

10.01.2022 Well this little fellow has been shipped of to the UK. I thought I better put his whiskers in before I sent him. I have a habit of forgetting to put whiskers in until the last minute.

10.01.2022 Ive been working on his little cheek using layers and layers of soft fine strokes of colour pencils to create the fur. It definitely takes patience.

10.01.2022 Still a fair bit of work to do on the right side of this darling Koala‘s head. I just love koalas. Wish I could give him a big cuddle. Pastel on pastelmat, A1 in size. Reference photo thanks to Wildlife Reference Photos.

05.01.2022 This is taking a long time to complete because I’m pretty busy doing portrait commissions at the moment. I’ve added some delicate daisies Which are a big contrast to such a heavy baby. Thank you wildlife reference photos for the photo and Bonny Snowdon for the technique tips.

04.01.2022 CWS. A commissioned piece. Pastel on Canson canson mi-teintes. Approximate size is A1.
