17.01.2022 Perfect conditions at today‘s photoshoot ... beautiful weather, gorgeous light and the loveliest family . . .

07.01.2022 I would not have taken a photo in this style, let alone shown it a year ago my focus was on perfecting what I already was comfortable with and new territories were daunting and felt uncomfortable a wide angle lens, in my mind, was for landscape photography and architecture, period this year I became more adventurous and less perfection focused, as I felt my images lost soul the moment I switched that perfection lens off I suddenly created different and refreshing imag...es (what is perfect anyway? What I consider as perfect, might not be for you. It‘s only a personal perspective) ... I used my wide angle lens in non-conventional settings there were fails (many!!!) but also big wins, in actual fact, some became my favourite images this one is one of them, my daughter cartwheeling on Lake Hart @southaustralia in the midday sun I love the dynamic, the perspective, the playfulness and how the entire scene tells the story the entire image is her, exploring the big wide world in her own playful and dynamic way this is how I will remember her when she no longer cartwheels through her childlike wonderland; I have so many smiling images of her, which I love as well, but this image will preserve her character and her being exactly the was she is ... how grateful I am that I stepped out of my comfort zone See more

07.01.2022 What a glorious sunny day it is today ... it feels the sun was hiding for the last four weeks which makes today so much more special I cannot wait for this afternoon when I can photograph a beautiful family on the beach ... the stars certainly aligned, I cannot ask for better conditions .
