This 8 week program gives young people aged 5-14 years the skills, practice and support they need to help lessen the symptoms of anxiety and stress. 24.01.2022 What do plants and people have in common? They both need water, food, sun, love and someone to look after them. As part of the Peaceful Kids Program, plants are given to the children as a reminder to look after themselves with mindfulness and meditation. The 4 week program develops strategies and specific activities with parents, so they are able to assist their own children better. Nothing makes me more happy than receiving emails that are so positive and shows that if we all work together we can help the little people in our lives. In this instance the family and Kindy are on board, working with me to support this gorgeous little boy. I am so grateful. "Hi Andrea hope you having a nice day. I have just called kindy to see how my son is going and spoke to his teacher, her res...ponse once again was Andrea is working wonders he is a different child. She is so amazed how different he is since starting Peaceful kids, she also told me how he is using his strategies to calm down for example today at 10:30 he told his teacher he missed me she asked what he would like to do to calm down he asked for the water timer and went into his quiet space for a few minutes and returned happy. I couldn’t thank you enough. Also today we had no tears or yelling at drop off which shocked me as he had all last week off from being sick so I thought we might go backwards again with drop off. 17.01.2022 Calming your mind isn't easy when your Amygdala is causing you grief! Mindfulness and Meditation and learning how the brain works is a big part of the Peaceful Kids Program. I really enjoy watching the creativity of the children I work with when I ask them to make a brain out of playdo and display the Amygdala and Pre Frontal Cortex. Such awesome replicas! The book "Moody Cow" also made an appearance when working with my youngest little champion. Moody Cow starts his day in a... rotten mood, but after spending some time with his Grandpa practising Mindfulness using a Mind Jar, Moody Cow's mood changes. It is amazing how a jar with glitter and water can calm even the littlest person. Nothing makes me happier than when parents let me know that the programs I facilitate makes such a positive difference to their children. It certainly makes a big difference when parents are fully involved and take on board what their child learns each week. I feel so grateful I can help children deal with their big emotions and support them with strategies to lessen their anxiety through the Peaceful Kids Program. ... Thanks so much for the sessions, it's sad to hear that next week is the last one as my daughter looks forward to Thursdays so much and we call it peaceful kids day.
