21.01.2022 Moonglum Photos don't come much more unworldly than this. This was actually taken on a night when I was doing an Astro shoot with the moon rise, but this image focuses just on the moon rise. I blended the exposures to make the moon less dominant, and used a long exposure darkened down to get the detail on what was quite shallow water. Interestingly I've held onto this shot for a long time. I'm not really sure whether I like it or not, so I’d be very interested to see what you... folks think. It's not that a great photo needs to get lots of social media love, but this one really interests me. It's got so many really unusual elements (like the amazing rock shapes) but I'm not sure that all hangs together. Let me know what you think. Cheers! 14.01.2022 An early Merry Christmas and a gift to you Well friends I have to say that 2020 wasn’t exactly all we wanted it to be, and right now isn’t exactly how we were all planning to ‘look forward’ to Christmas. So to cut through the doom and gloom, I have a little something for you. A selection of non-watermarked wallpapers which you may or may not choose to brighten your phones with. They are all pre-sharpened at 1600x900 so should look nice and crisp on most phones...... Thanks for all the support this year. And particularly to those who purchased images and hopefully brightened the walls in their homes. And yes I know Ive been quiet lately these things happen to us so-called ‘artistic’ types hopefully I’ll get back into the groove in the New Year.

14.01.2022 Wideview Wonder, Berowra Heights, NSW >>> Reminder that orders close midnight for delivered Prints, Acrylic and Canvas. Pick-up prints close Sunday 13th <<< A real catch-up here from deep in COVID...... Lazy Sunday afternoons. As a Landscape Photographer, you tend to have one eye out the window most of the time. We had friends round (first time in ages I have to say) and my lovely wife had excelled in the kitchen as she always does. And we sat and ate and chatted and had a most wonderfully wonderful relaxed afternoon. And there was a shelf of cloud outside the window. And all good things come to an end and our friends departed. Now. I could have sat there. It would have sooo easy. But, Cloud Shelf called. And off I went. Not too far, and what I expected to happen did indeed happen. But! I didn’t quite expect it to happen so well, and for sooo long. Because of that, I was able to take a panorama. Two in fact, and as such this is possible the biggest image I have ever taken. It just blew me away the skies went on forever and there was I, deep in it all. Just Wonderful. I am sooo looking forward to autumn ‘the sunset season’ again. I am now offering bbbbiiiiggggg 60 inch canvases for $649 Pano and $849 3:2 ratio please email rather than shop and get in NOW :-) Canon EOS5D Mk III ~ Canon 16-35mm ~ F11 ~ 0.2 sec blended ~ ISO 100 ~ 9 images stitched Please feel free to Share

11.01.2022 Sunset before the Rains, Berowra, NSW PRESS and HOLD to see full image on phone. I finally got out with my camera again. And after closing all Christmas Orders - thank you all. I’ll likely write a blog entry about how the Year of 2020 affected me overall as it is my strong belief that no-one came though 2020 without learning a few things about themselves.... So this was on Monday night, and I have to say I made excuses on a few previous nice sunsets that I was just too comfortable, time for dinner had got in the way or well, you get it, it’s all rubbish. Clouds had gathered and gathered layers of grey, but then my Keen Eye had noted a line of brightness along the horizon the ‘gap’ that we all like. And a very quick indeed exit to Mossie Ledge, and my set up was just in time for colour to start. (There was no actual sunset). I only took one image composition (I’m doing that more) and in all honesty there weren’t too many variations on offer. Lines of colour appeared over the horizon, and I went 24mm not 16mm (I need do that even more) to accentuate that area of colour. And then it started raining :-) Enjoy! I may even start posting more often you never know! Please feel free to SHARE

07.01.2022 Park Life Let me get back to my roots. I have for a long time admired the works of Cartier-Bresson, and most of the other earlier Magnum contemporaries. Add in Brandt, Brassai. Later, I got into Martin Parr, also from Magnum. There is a certain timelessness about mono images in a cold urban environment. And the Northern Hemisphere dictates a lot of those images will be shot in parks and/or other public spaces. So I got lucky. I found a park, could be anywhere The World. An...d it actually doesn’t matter where, as I got the ‘feel’ that I was after. Many, many other images of park benches and bare trees did not work it took The Man to bring it to like. I wonder where he was off to he was in a hurry, or was he maybe just keeping warm? Not quite James Dean in Times Square, but Normal ' landscape' service will resume with my next post
