18.01.2022 I've just released my second album, Adventurous Bodies. It's available on itunes and spotify and you can read more about it here - https://www.andrewbattrawden.com.au/adventurous-bodies It is an album of works that I've written for dance and physical theatre over the past 6 years. The cover art is by Dean Walsh.
16.01.2022 I wrote and sent this out just before Christmas about what I'm up to... I've become very passionate about environmental concerns recently and am looking at different ways of doing something about it. It is no secret that I'm involved in a number of work places, and so I've put forward an idea for a "check-in" process that'll give people a systematic way (yet also loose and adaptive way) of "doing" something about their feelings.... you can read about it here and send me some feedback if you're so inclined.... https://us14.campaign-archive.com/
14.01.2022 If we stop making everything so discrete, measured and familiar in our music, and our art, we might have a chance of changing the world too. How can we expect the world to change unless art leads the way. Obvs there are way more responses to the question if the role of art, and indeed the role of your art (if ur an artist) specifically - but I think this statement explains why I’ve explored what I’ve explored, and what I strive to be as an artist. I’m not saying other approaches to it all are wrong, but this is the way I do.
