25.01.2022 Official now! ET PB!!

22.01.2022 Unofficially the 3rd pass of the day was a 6.3 @ 198. The 6.3 is a new pb! Waiting on a time slip.

22.01.2022 Boss man, for a bloke who doesn’t like to wear hats, he sure wears a couple of different ones!

21.01.2022 Another productive day but it looks like Coleys gone backwards The blowers back off the yellow car, been a first build things are going to have to be put on & of a few times before it’s on for a final fitment. He’s getting the blower, spacer plate & manifold to all line up nicely. It’s required some cutting of the spacer to work properly. Nothing on this car is off the shelf, even the bolts! We fitted the flywheel & clutch on the drag car. I swear it doesn’t matter how go...od you clean the clutch on one of these you ALWAYS end up filthy when touching it. We were going to for the can but realised we need a new release bearing. Mark was cleaning the Lenco so we cound fit that too & noticed a massive crack in the reverser. Coleys chasing up a replacement, been magnesium , it can’t be welded. We’re still on track for the Big Al meeting but there is plenty to do! See more

20.01.2022 After a few false starts due to the timing been a bit far out, the starter batteries failing then the starter solenoid failing, (thanks Guido for the loan of the starter) we managed to fire it a few times, set the timing off the mag & grid. Box ticked . The new valve gear has been adjusted & checked . Rod bolts re torqued . Happy days. There may have been a couple of flames popping out the headers. videos of that may come later ... Thanks Courtney for taking over my phone & the page for a few hours today!

20.01.2022 Now it looks like a race car. It’s sitting on the scales. We do this quite frequently to make sure the weight is in the right spot & to make sure the corner weights are where we want them to be. With the help of Craig Burns from SCR Race Cars we are looking to try some new for us rear end setups with the Menscer Motorsports shock & spring combo with the plan to get the car launching & travelling better than ever!... You wouldn’t think it but the suspension on these door cars can be quite complicated & have a huge effect on the pass. Fun side fact: There are some drag cars out there that done have suspension. They are, junior dragsters, altereds, dragsters, funny cars & top fuel dragsters. None of which have doors... See more

17.01.2022 When Supercars are back on but you just wanna go drag racing.

15.01.2022 After a massive day & an even bigger effort from Coley putting in a few extra hours it’s finally starting to look like a race car. Plan is for a fire up Saturday. Racing the weekend after. Can’t wait!

13.01.2022 With Coley busy helping out at the track all Saturday it left the rest of up to our own devices working on the car. With the Supercars also been on we made sure it was on for some background noise. So, the Clutch is back in along with the Lenco & driveshaft. The tail shaft loop needs a slight modification to fit the new pumpkin with the tail shaft sensor. Coley has welded the crack in the reverser as the new one was been sent to Melbourne before it came here but somehow ma...naged to be sent to a suburb of the same name in New Zealand . Hopefully this one will hold up for now & we will fit the new one once it arrives & time permits. With just a bit more to go with the wiring it will be ready to fire up for the first time since been put back together. I don’t know about you guys but we can’t wait to get back out to the track, lay some rubber & see what the upgrades bring! See more

13.01.2022 Some great progress today. The bottom end is together & the heads are on. Piston to valve clearence has also been checked & is good We are waiting for some shims to put the new rocker gear on & the pushrods have been ordered. Next weekend we will put the motor in the chassis & start plumbing it all back up & put the blower back on etc.

10.01.2022 Coley & Dave snuck in a couple of sneaky public holiday hours of work today. Here’s a couple of pre & post dust photos along with a drivers view. Dave fit quite well. With the last of the rear end adjustments complete it’s all but ready for loading in the transporter. We did forget to clean the rear windows meaning the body’s gotta come off again.

10.01.2022 All setup at the track ready for the Big Al memorial meeting.

07.01.2022 1 bracket done 7 to go

04.01.2022 Heavy Hitters drag racing at RCN6 just got a little heavier!

03.01.2022 Still fabricating the radiators and mounts, nearly there

03.01.2022 A great article about Coley in today’s local paper.

03.01.2022 A cracker of a day today! It consisted of a bit of an engine race. The drag car saw us sit the long motor back in its home. We then put the converter in the tow car trans & get that long motor off the stand. After a quick bit to eat we bolted the trans to the motor. After a bit of jigging that was all bolted into place. ... Then the fun started. It was a race to se who could get the manifolds & blowers on the fastest. It’s safe to say, ones just sitting on place & the other is all bolted down. One has been together, running before & the other is a whole new build. There were also 2 people working on the drag car Beers were tasty at the end! See more

02.01.2022 Some photos of the yellow car. Coleys been bust making the fuel injection & throttle body look & mount on the motor nicely. He’s made a new shifter plate to mount the dash/computer & exhaust gas temp gauges. It’s really starting to come together.
