25.01.2022 Every decision you make is casting a vote for the person you want to become. A challenge with this is that we typically make decisions based on how we want to feel right then in the present moment and not how we want to feel in the future. ... When you choose to say yes to something you’re also saying no to other things. Are there things in your life that you need to say no to in the present moment so can benefit in the future? See more

24.01.2022 Anger This is an emotion that many of us feel on a daily basis. ... When your expectations are not met in an interaction with another person the emotion that follows is anger. Because anger is a by-product of unmet expectations. To be truly free of returning to automatic responses such as anger you have to be consciously aware. In your life, if you start turning back to the same reactions to the same people and circumstances you’re returning back to the old self. Stay conscious and don’t be so predictable See more

22.01.2022 Moms out there you’re the real MVP But being a new dad is tough AF! ... So much stress and uncertainty consumed me as a new father... I struggled beyond measure. I let myself, the mother, and my child down for quite a while and a lot of shame and guilt came from that. Then something happened to me. I decided I was better than that and now my purpose in life was no longer about me but about giving my child a better life than I had. In order for me to do this something had to change, but I didn’t have any clue where to start. All of these things needed to improve: -Mental health -Fitness -Nutrition -Communication -Behaviour I then hired a coach and that’s when my journey began. My transformation didn’t happen over night and you can’t expect yours to either. BUT.... Your life can transform too! Maybe you’re a new father, or maybe you’re a father just struggling much like I did. If this is you let’s chat! There’s a way out of this suffering and you owe it to your family See more

20.01.2022 You’re either creating a new future or you’re stuck living in the memories of the past. Your past doesn’t define you, it’s just there to REFINE you. ... Let it go See more

18.01.2022 Mental health problems are one of the leading causes of disease in the world. Because of the lack of investment worldwide, mental health is typically not considered until it’s too late unfortunately. ... Who else thinks it’s about time for our representatives to take a proactive approach and put more thought and investment into this cause? Something needs to change. See more

18.01.2022 Medical science has never been able to prove that anxiety, depression or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) are inherited conditions. The above conditions are mainly treated with medication under the medical model so there is a massive incentive for certain industries to keep it that way. ... Studies are showing with the increasing use of antidepressants the rates of anxiety and depression are NOT decreasing, and that antidepressants perform no better than placebos. Someone believing they’re able to get better is part of their ability to do so. Reforming how we label and how we look at mental health as a response to adversity rather than a disorder could be very encouraging for someone to heal. See more

17.01.2022 Understanding that emotions are moving messages (resources) meant to be felt and released vs. suppressed and ignored... Suppressed emotions lead to depression, then depression leads to disease, decay, and ultimately disintegration... ... You gotta feel it to heal it See more

13.01.2022 Our habits and behaviours have become so engrained in us that we don’t even really have to think about doing them. Our automatic responses to cues is the body taking over the mind. ... We become very predictable because of this. The first step to change is conscious awareness. Then like any new program we have to implement the new software (new habit) until it becomes hardwired into our bodies and mind (hardware). Then we form new neural connections through the new experiences and new programming. This begins to affect our outer reality. You can’t expect anything to change unless you change something. Life becomes less predictable when we have new quality experiences. See more

08.01.2022 First time in 3 years that I’ve enjoyed my training. I used to obsess about going to the gym in a very unhealthy way... ... Most of it was comparison and trying to live up to unrealistic standards that I was seeing social media. I got burnt out When I stopped giving a shit about living up to the hype and started training for intrinsic reasons, things changed and training became fun again. One of the best decisions I made was joining a fitness community. Having people support you is essential... Thank you @crossfit168_sydney_cbd for helping me find my passion for fitness again See more

07.01.2022 When you project your negative thoughts into your future you actually suffer twice if it were to actually happen. MOST of the negative shit you worry about isn’t going to happen anyway but if you get caught into believing your thoughts your body will actually respond in the exact same way as if it were actually happening. Stress hormones get released and you go into fight or flight as if there were actually a perceived threat. ... A lot of people (including myself) spend many years living in stress mode and in high levels to anxiety. This is no way to live Question your thoughts and be free of worry and fear. See more

03.01.2022 Our minds take us on a thought journey every single day. We live within our own mind and try to think our way through everything. This creates fear and anxiety when we play out situations in our head. We get 70,000 - 90,000 thoughts per day and about 90% of those are the same thoughts day in and day out and most of those are negative. ... The truth is we are not our thoughts and when you practice not believing your thoughts and just being the observer you can experience true freedom. It’s takes practice and we must do the work if we want to be truly free. #thoughts #feelings #emotions #observer See more
