25.01.2022 I have always liked this quote because not only is it true, but I think it can be quite a revelation for many. Realising that by not taking action to make changes to improve our lives, then by default, we are choosing those things we don't want. Take a few minutes and think about what in your life is not serving you anymore, or is keeping you in a place of discomfort or even suffering. Once you identify something or some things, ask yourself some quality questions such as: "W...hy am I not taking action to change this?" "What action do I need to take to make a change?" Notice any fears, doubts, pains, judgments (to name a few undesirable feelings) that come up for you. This basic exercise will help you to become mindful of your behvaiours and some of the reasons contributing to you not making changes. Please message or email me your responses and I will be able provide more specific content towards assisting you work towards the life you desire and deserve. [email protected] Through private 1 on 1 sessions, I can help you unpack this much further.
08.01.2022 Great day/ evening to you all whatever time it is where you are. I know for some of you experiencing mental health issues it may not feel that great for you at present. I overcame bipolar disorder years ago after having it for decades. It was a process that took some time as I had to work out a lot of things myself towards overcoming it. It has been years of no symptoms or medications, and one of my goals in life is to assist others improve their mental health, and therefore ...their lives. As some of you are already aware, I wrote a book this year about key areas I addressed to do this, and I have also through both formal and non formal education built upon my knowledge and skills to offer 1 on 1 sessions to help others like yourself. If you would like to arrange a free no obligation chat about where you are at and if we would be a good fit to work together, then please reach out to me through my website or facebook page to arrange a call (Australia only a this time). I have a quick questionnaire you can fill out and send to me that will help me better understand your problem, and how I can help you solve it. Lets work together to unlock your mind and cultivate a peace within it. https://andrewespiewhitburn.com/pre-call-questionnaire/ For more information please view my website: www.andrewespiewhitburn.com https://www.facebook.com/andrewespiewhitburnlifecoach
05.01.2022 This statement may be confronting for some. From personal experience, I know this to be true. I also know it can feel a lot easier said than done. But small steps towards improving your mental health does not require a major burden in your life. There are many areas of life that contribute to your mental well being that can be addressed with simple actions. For instance if you experience elevated moods then avoiding stimulating foods, substances, environments, movies, music ...etc. is a simple thing you can limit or remove if they are adding to your symptoms. On the other side if you are experiencing low moods watching sad movies or disturbing and upsetting content should be avoided as it will only exasperate what you are feeling. Working with me 1 on 1 I can help you identify and set goals towards making lifestyle changes to promote better mental health. http://www.andrewespiewhitburn.com
03.01.2022 Many people are afraid to be by themself in silence because of the pain they feel from their thoughts and emotions? It is common to want to run from emotional pain, because it is so painful and distressing. People run from their pain and internal conflict often by attempting to escape themselves through many means. Some of the most common are alcohol and drugs, but it can be constantly scrolling through social media, watching t.v, movies, binge watching series, constantly re...ading books and magazines and online articles, getting involved in intimate relations as a co-dependant measure for feeling secure with another, and on it goes. Most people would have some awareness they do this to some degree, yet the only way to move past the pain is to address it by facing it. It can be hard to know where to start when the mind is shooting thoughts and feelings all over the place but with a clear direction this can be worked on. Running from emotional pain is the same as running from having a large wound that needs to be dressed so it stops bleeding, running from it will not heal it, it needs attention. I am currently working on putting together a course to assist in helping individuals with mental health issues overcome them. I need a small number of suitable people to work with me in the new year to refine the course. I have a basic questionnaire to be filled out to help me best find my test group for the course and the questionnaire can be downloaded from my website here https://andrewespiewhitburn.com/pre-call-questionnaire/ In the mean time, I recommend my book on how I overcame bipolar title "The Way Out is Through the Way In" available on Amazon as both eBook and paperback. https://www.amazon.com/Way-Out-Through-depres//B08JV7Z7MC
