16.01.2022 After a two week wait, the results of the election were officially declared yesterday and I am excited to announce that I have been elected alongside Marnie Doyle as Councillor for Division 3. I want to take this opportunity to offer my sincerest thanks to everyone who supported me throughout my campaign. We ran with an approach that was fairly unorthodox, but one that kept true to me and I am proud of that. A special thank you to mum and dad for standing by me on this throu...gh some really tough times. I am truly grateful. This result is a milestone in Ipswich's history as I step into this role as the youngest Councillor Ipswich has elected. The youth of the city are the future of the city. I am excited to have motivated so many young people through my campaign and I promise to keep that fire burning. Congratulations to Mayor Theresa Harding and my fellow Councillors. I look forward to the challenges ahead and working with all of you, alongside the people of Ipswich, to build a Council that is forward-thinking, dynamic and trustworthy. I cannot wait to share this journey with you all!
14.01.2022 This morning I went down to a World’s Greatest Shave event and while I didn’t have my hair shaved, my beard ended up a beautiful shade of purple! Supporters, coordinators, carers and clients of Alara shared in heaps of laughs over a couple of tins of Kirk’s soft drink, a good old sausage sizzle and a raffle with the most amount of prizes I have ever seen! This was all in pursuit of raising money and awareness for a wonderful cause that is close to many of our hearts. ... A massive thanks to Dee Reedy and her hugely generous team for putting on such a great event. These are the wonderful community gatherings that define who we are as a city. The people behind the scenes working hard to keep the wheels turning need to be celebrated. @ ALARA QLD Limited
14.01.2022 This is my division, this is who I will represent, these are the people that deserve change and their voice heard. As this campaign comes to a close this weekend make sure you vote for a local who is committed to putting the people of Ipswich first. Vote 1 Andrew Fechner - Your choice for change.
13.01.2022 New rules around pre-polling have been announced today, effective immediately there will be no physical handing out of how to vote cards. With that in mind, you can take this electronic how to vote card of mine to the booth and vote. If you have any questions or concerns about the best way to vote please reach out.

05.01.2022 Celebrating 5 years of the iconic Strictly Coffee down at the Bakehouse Steakhouse this afternoon. To be in business this long speaks volumes about the quality of the product and the dedication the team has had to making it work. Thanks to Nicholas Stevenson and his family down at Bakehouse for hosting us in a such a relaxing and fun environment. Here’s to keeping it local
04.01.2022 The time for change is upon us. This campaign has reassured me that Ipswich is ready and that I am ready to lead this great city forward. Vote 1 Andrew Fechner Division 3.
04.01.2022 Calling all young voters! Your voices are needed to shape the city into a place that we want to grow old in. Meet Starlah - a Div 3 legend and just 20 years old. We have spent the last two days together tripping across the electorate talking to people and putting up signs. Of the young people we spoke to quite a few were not interested at all! I have made it my mission to mobilise the youth in this great city and ensure they care about what happens in local council. It’s sad to think that most people in their 20s in Ipswich don’t care about the upcoming election but I am going to give everything I have to try and change that! Mark my words.... You have a voice through me.
03.01.2022 This afternoon we filmed the last video for my campaign. I am absolutely blown away by Ipswich’s desire for change. There are so many people out there that believe in what we are doing and the impact we are going to have. Pre-poll is currently underway to find out where you can vote now visit this link https://m.qt.com.au//ipswich-city-council-electio/3959471/
