25.01.2022 As the final week of secondary school draws to a close, the senior students attend their last school presentation night and receive their graduation certificates. It's a big week, with the formal to follow the next day. I hope I got at least one shot of each of the graduating class with school principal Mr Ian Gamack. It is also the time for the induction of the new school leaders, eager and ready, with big shoes to fill.

23.01.2022 Each year the graduating class has a mid-week evening service in the St James Cathedral in Townsville to celebrate the end of their secondary schooling and to give thanks. Every student is presented with a school Bible and there are wonderful songs and addresses. A link to a pretty dodgy video will be included, but hopefully these images will provide some memories of a lovely evening.

20.01.2022 The wonderful young women from Newcastle High have been visiting Townsville for the last couple of days to play Netball and Hockey. A delight to host them and great fun to witness four games of netball and two hockey, with many players backing up in unfamiliar sports, such a great way to see the world and meet new people. As with all of the kids sports, I have posted lots of imajes so they have a chance to find themselves and their friends.

17.01.2022 My first ever game watching soccer... Great to see my oldest mate Mark, who started with me in Under 7 Rugby as he completes his transition to the other team.

17.01.2022 Every year for the past six or seven, we have been fortunate enough to host young students from the UK on sports tours; netball, rugby and occasionally hockey. Beaconsfield girls have been here many times, and over the last few years we have hosted lads from Radley, Rugby and this year the Bedford School. Whilst we have an abundance of netball players, we "ring in" some extra talent to field our Townsville rugby team. Two matches played in great spirit. I have included ...more images than usual, as the boys see different things in each, and love to rib each other about the dropped balls and missed tackles as they adopt new profile pics that show them in their best light. Thank you for visiting gentlemen, good luck in your coming games in Brisbane and Sydney, it was great hosting you.

16.01.2022 Teachers West vs Brothers

16.01.2022 I was fortunate to attend all four of the wonderful performances and to see this incredibly talented group of actors, dancers, singers, and triple threats grow with each experience. These images are from the last night and represent a sample of several thousand moments. Normally the logic is to try to limit the number of photos in an album like this, and to be really selective with what goes in to represent an event. For me to do that would mean that I would be applyin...g my own value on what people want to see. I have posted so many as they are all subtly different in their expression. As I go through the album I can see and hear the wonderful lines and perfectly timed delivery, the beautiful dance and wonderful song. I want the brilliant cast and supportive friends and family to choose their favourites. Congratulations and a huge thank you to Jill Turner for her superb direction and production, developing our kids and helping them to show their sometimes hidden talents. Cheers
