23.01.2022 A Heritage Train visited Griffith this weekend taking passengers to both Ariah Park on Saturday and Narrandera on Sunday. I remember catching a similar train from Junee to Griffith many times.

20.01.2022 Spent a few days out west along the Darling River. Where there is water there are normally birds. Here are some shots of some of the birds including the Yellow-Billed Spoonbill, Pelicans, Shelduck, Masked Lapwings, Kookaburra, and what I believe was a Brown Falcon. 19.01.2022 Yoogali Soccer Club NPL2 traveled to O'Connor Park in Cootamundra to play their NPL Capital Football home game against Narrabundah FC. In the Under 23s, YSC proved too strong recording a much needed 7-1 victory. Thank you to the Cootamundra Strikers Football Club for their hospitality and for providing us with a field to play on. 19.01.2022 Its amazing what you can find if you look closely enough in the garden. All these from one seated position in my garden. Something tells me I don't really want that fly in my garden but the spiders are more than welcome. All these shots are going into a gallery on my web site called Around the Garden with Bernie. 18.01.2022 AFL in the Riverina has come to an end for 2020 with both the South West and Wagga Districts holding their Junior Grand Finals on the weekend. Clubs featured included Turvey Park Junior Bulldogs, North Wagga AFNC, Wagga Tigers, Wagga Swans Junior Australian Rules Football & Netball Club, Eastlakes MCU Junior Football Netball Club, Narrandera Imperial Football - Netball Club, Griffith Swans FNC, Barellan Two Blues Junior FNC and the Leeton Whitton Crows. 15.01.2022 Congratulations to Wagga City Wanderers for taking out the Capital Football - Official NPL2 Grand Final over Yoogali Soccer Club NPL2. One goal each at the end of regulation time, two at the end of extra time. Penalties were a cruel way to lose the Grand Final after such a dominant season for YSC. 15.01.2022 What a miserable day, wet and windy, not ideal for photography but I had to test out my new Nisi Close-Up Lens Kit. I was pleasantly surprised with the results, all shots handheld using a Canon 5D, 70-200 F8 with various ISO and speed settings.

A hat-trick to Mitch Bagiante and a double to Danny Roche helped their side to a 7-0 victory.
