14.01.2022 Can I buy a property without inspecting it first? Michael Kollosche explains: You can purchase a property sight-unseen. There is no issue with that, and it do...es happen regularly. If the property is something you’re planning on demolishing and you’re looking at it for land value, then that is not a problem. If you feel you’re buying the property extremely well and you’re not concerned about the improvements, then there is no issues with purchasing it sight unseen. If you’re looking at living in the property, it is advisable that you will either do a virtual inspection or a physical inspection prior to purchasing the property. I have sold many properties where Buyers have done virtual inspections and we have walked through and done a full video of the property so that the Buyer can achieve a similar experience as they would if they were present. Usually following that they would engage a Building Inspector to ensure that property has no issues before proceeding unconditionally with the purchase.
