21.01.2022 When it comes time to design your kitchen, the recipe is simple. It needs to present beautifully but taste equally as amazing. The presentation of the kitchen is always the most exciting part but so often we forget about the taste (aka what is inside those cupboards) and that is the vital ingredient to create a five star meal.

12.01.2022 The Reserve Bank board has used its final meeting of the year to hold official interest rates at a record-low 0.1 per cent, where it expects them to remain for at least three years. Following its meeting, governor Philip Lowe confirmed the cash rate, sliced to 0.1 per cent last month, would remain unchanged. The bank board next meets in early February.

11.01.2022 In many ways, 2020 has changed the way we approach kitchen design. We’re using our kitchens for entertaining, family time, studying and working from home like never before, meaning they need to be especially functional. Meanwhile, designers say there’s still plenty of space for boldness and playfulness going into 2021.

10.01.2022 What a year it has been! As 2020 comes to a close and Christmas is right around the corner, I wanted to thank you for all of your support. It's been an amazing year, one where many of us have faced fears and hardship as we adapted to new ways of living. Through it all, many discovered what was important to them and felt the power of a kind word and a (metaphorical) pat on the back.... From us to you, we hope that you have a wonderful Christmas break, filled with laughter, joy and happiness with your loved ones. We wish you all the best and look forward to speaking with you again in the New Year. Happy Holidays! Andrew Timms | 0488029908 [email protected] www.loanmarket.com.au/andrew-timms

03.01.2022 A shortage of rental accommodation, multiple applications per property and rising rents are proof that Australia’s rental market is undersupplied, with predictions the country could soon see the biggest rent increases in living memory. Propertyology head of research Simon Pressley said the property market had largely survived COVID-19 unscathed despite a sharp fall in migration, with only Sydney and Melbourne recording a surplus of stock and falling rents.

01.01.2022 A change in season is always welcomed, especially when it’s summer. We lather on sunscreen. We walk to the service station for an impromptu ice cream. We then recline in our backyard in the sun while watching the bed sheets dry on the clothesline in record time. While the beach and day trips down the coast offer a supreme taste of summer, you can experience the same joys at home by sprucing up your outdoor area ahead of the warmer months arriving.

01.01.2022 For many Australians 2020 has been a year to forget. As we get ready to embrace (a hopefully much better) 2021, now is the perfect time to clear the slate by decluttering and organising the home. Getting organised has a huge number of benefits. Not only does it make life a little easier, but studies show that looking at an organised, clean space brings a sense of calm and clarity. And with the weather warming up ahead of Christmas, it’s the perfect time to open up the home and clear out unwanted items that have been building up.
