23.01.2022 Our first chance to get out to a local island post-lockdown last week and it was a great day for it. We were fortunate to have Normanby Island all to ourselves and we even encountered some rare wildlife... manta rays feeding in the shallows around the island. The corals on the northern side are coming back strong.

16.01.2022 Coral dreams... A photo from a shoot for Tourism Queensland relating to the recent coral spawning event on the Great Barrier Reef. The photo was used for the cover of the Weekend Australian Magazine on Saturday. It's amazing we have these underwater scenes in our backyard. 16.01.2022 Back in September we did a little camping trip to Whitehaven Beach in the Whitsundays for the birthday of my wonderful partner, Samantha. Such a beautiful spot!... and we had an adventure crossing Hill Inlet at low tide. Thanks to Sam for putting together this video!

15.01.2022 Some images from our Nautilus Dive Club trip to Kimbe Bay, West New Britain in Sept 2019. It really is a diving bucket-list spot with such a profusion and diversity of underwater life. Some of our favourite spots were Bradford's shoal, with the massive school of Barracuda, a muck dive at Restorf Island, Ann Sophie's Reef and the Japanese Zero.

14.01.2022 They really do get some lovely sunset scenes up at Port!... shot on the weekend during the beautiful spell of our northern winter. Port Douglas, Queensland, Australia #northqueensland #queensland #sunset #australianlandscapes #aerialphotography #landscape

13.01.2022 Where the rainforest and water merge... at Lake Eacham yesterday. Atherton Tablelands, Queensland, Australia #farnorthqueensland #wettropics #landscape #australianlandscapes #rainforest #naturephotography

13.01.2022 A flashback to Jan this year... diving on the Tasman Peninsula with Eaglehawk Dive Centre. It was a cold (for us tropical divers) but unforgettable experience, diving with fur seals and weedy sea dragons in Tasmania. Big thanks to Sam Aird, for the great job editing our footage and putting together the video.

11.01.2022 It seems like glorious wet season sunrises are back!... The Marlin Jetty early this morning. Cairns, Queensland, Australia #sunrise #farnorthqueensland #landscapephotography #landscapes #queensland #marina #Cairns #nature

11.01.2022 A drone video from a recent photo and video project for Riverside Daintree - a holiday house located deep in the Daintree rainforest. It's a beautiful location, situated next to a crystal clear section of Cooper Creek and in the shadow of Thornton Peak.

10.01.2022 Images from earlier this year of the Munro Martin Parklands in the Cairns city centre with spring blooms - featuring a walkway laiden with "Flame of the Forest" flowers.

07.01.2022 A full moon lighting up the landscape and stars atop Mt Fitzroy on the weekend... Were hoping for clear conditions to witness some of the Geminids meteor shower at 4am, but mother nature had other ideas unfortunately... though the clouds did part briefly for this photo. 07.01.2022 If you're like me and have always wondered about what happens at those big green sheds on the Cairns waterfront, then here are some pics that will help answer that question. Last week I was at the Bulk Sugar Terminal to capture some industrial photography of the ship loading process for the site owners STL. Queensland has one of the world's largest bulk raw sugar storage and handling systems, with seven terminals spread along the coast. 04.01.2022 Some images from this year's Ironman Cairns event which I was covering for the Ironman race organisers. We were blessed with some beautiful (but hot) September weather and it was great to be able to showcase such an amazingly scenic course. Starting with a swim leg at Palm Cove, the athletes complete a bike leg to Port Douglas on the Captain Cook Highway, before returning to Cairns for the Esplanade run leg and finish!

04.01.2022 Weekend vibes... Four Mile Beach looking picture perfect a few weeks back. Port Douglas, Queensland, Australia #farnorthqueensland #portdouglas #landscapephotography #australianlandscapes #beaches #coast #tropical #australia

02.01.2022 A big congrats to the Far North Queensland award winners in the Australian regional architectural awards 2020! I was lucky enough to work with each of the winning architectural firms and their entries this year. I'll feature each of these over the next few days... First up, The Bulmba-ja Centre of Contemporary Art which was awarded the Eddie Orbin Award for Building of the Year. TPG Architects worked closely with the Yidinji and Yirriganydji groups to create a re-invigorate...d design that meshes modern design with elements that acknowledge and respect their traditional culture.
