24.01.2022 Staytight Cattle Cable:- Is a high tensile, high quality but low cost wire strand comprised of 7 wires or 19 wires, depending on the size. It is galvanised and oiled. Commonly used sizes are 6.5mm and 8.5mm for holding yards, and 10mm for heavy duty areas such as feedlots. WHAT IT DOES:- When used as stockyard wire it provides a heavy duty barricade that does not need retensioning. This is a major benefit in intensively used areas such as feedlots. This characteristic als...o simplifies construction and so reduces cost. Extra fittings such as turnbuckles are not needed. HOW IT WORKS:- Because Staytight cable is elastic, it stretches and rebounds, instead of moving the strainer post when impacted by animals, vehicles, or frosty nights. This beneficial property, available in Andromeda Staytight wire, is provided by the helical shape of the wires. 21.01.2022 AGMAT RUBBER: New AG-MAT 10mm thick is ideal for stable flooring, horse Float & Truck floors where one piece with no joins is required. The rubber is soft and durable with a centre polyester netting for strength. This material comes in 45metre rolls or cut to length. The turtle back pattern on top helps with Grip & Cushioning, while being easy to clean. The other side is a flat base that allows it to be glued down. We also supply Ag-Mat 2000mm wide that has a ribbed base for liquid drainage if required. This great product comes in 4 convenient widths being: 1650mm, 1800mm, 2000mm & 2400mm. 16.01.2022 This is a truck load of Andromeda Staytight wire on its way to a major feedlot job in southern NSW. This special wire is made for heavy duty fencing as in feedlots, and is processed at Moonbi to Andromeda design and specification. The special helical setting machine to make this was designed, built and commissioned by Andromeda Engineering Division. Even in these difficult times manufacture still goes on in and for many specialised industries.

10.01.2022 In the WORLD OF ENGINEERING, few things have had more effect on building our civilisation than the WHEEL LOADER. The CATERPILLAR 988, first produced in the 1960...s was the 747 of earthmoving equipment. It was the first of the large wheel loaders, and the Caterpillar company had agonised for some time over whether there would be a market for a loader of this size. This was because of the enormous cost of tooling up to manufacture such a machine. But they went ahead and before long the 988 was seen all over the world. Apart from every minesite and major construction job, you would see them doing the heavy lifting after every disaster, cleaning up after earthquakes, landslides, and floods all through the 70s and 80s and 90s you would catch glimpses if a 988 quiety doing its work. Here you see an old Cat 988 being used at Andromeda to move a heavy piece of equipment. This yellow machine has been especially built to lift and unroll conveyor belts up to 20 tonnes a piece.
