25.01.2022 Hey gang. Long weekend looms into view here in the south coast. Here's how sunset looked on Wednesday evening. Click on the preview below to view all 17 shots from my photoblog. :)

25.01.2022 Good morning friends. Here's how sunset looked last night on the south coast. Sent the drone up and got some great shots on the Fujifilm. Click the link below to view all 28 images. :)

24.01.2022 This is one of the images in my curated fine art prints gallery on my online store. I get all my prints produced by Brent and the team at Photomart in Warilla - their work is museum-grade quality on only the best quality paper or canvas. If you were thinking of purchasing one of my prints for someone, then please note that the cut-off point to guarantee delivery before Xmas is 1st of December. Please note also that turn-around is currently a couple of weeks due to a high volume of orders at their end. If you are after a unique gift then I also have a collection of ceramic mugs for sale with a whole range of local locations and beauty spots illustrated. https://andyhutchinson.com.au/shop/

23.01.2022 Some good surf last night on Seven and lots of surfers enjoying it. Even the Gerringong Surf Boat made an appearance. Click on the image below to view all 16 images :)

22.01.2022 It's unlikely that I'll be doing a south coast calendar this year as I'm really bad at predicting how many to print and either run out in a week or get left with boxes of the things. However Paul at the Post Office here in Berry asked me to do a special one for Berry and it is on sale at the Post Office now for $20. It'll also be available at the Newsagents here in Berry, but these are the only two places to get it - I will not be selling it online. Anyway - it looks great and if you go and get one tell Paul I said hi! :)

21.01.2022 Hey guys - hope you're having a great weekend. Here's some of my favourite shots from the last few days, uploaded directly to FB for better sharing - full sets from these photoblogs are always available on my website in much higher resolution :)

20.01.2022 The countryside is coming to life again after winter. Couple of shots I took today out and about in Berry. (Had to repost this as FB left out two shots).

20.01.2022 Hey guys. I shot a timelapse during last night's sunset. All sped up it covers about 15 minutes either side of sunset. :)

19.01.2022 Hey team, how's your week panning out? There's an apocryphal curse that goes, "May you live in interesting times" and I wonder if we're all living that curse this last year. It's just been mental, hasn't it! Here in the south coast the craziness actually kicked off about this time last year. It was when the bushfires started and it was the start of a succession of crazy dramas that began with 80% of this region going up in smoke. Then we had floods. Then the pandemic. Then more floods. And now we're just ticking over into bushfire season again. All you can do is hold on tight and go along with the ride. I stay sane by going out with a camera and photographing stuff. Here's some stuff I photographed at the local with my amazing new Fujifilm X-T4 camera. ;)

17.01.2022 School holidays here at the moment, but the cool weather seems to be keeping people off the beaches. Here's how sunset looked yesterday. :)

17.01.2022 Hey guys. Catching up with my back-log today. This is last night's sunset on the river in Shoalhaven Heads - click on the link to see all the shots. And thanks for all the feedback about the email list - feedback has been very helpful. :)

17.01.2022 We had an amazing sunrise on Wednesday morning. Bumper crop of shots in today's photoblog. Click on the link below to view 'em all ...

14.01.2022 Blog's up. Lots of photos of the beach and all the good stuff. Check it out - it won't change your life, but it might provide a welcome distraction for a couple of minutes. :) Support my photography and score some epic south coast merch - https://andyhutchinson.com.au/south-coast-signature-t-shir/

14.01.2022 Hey guys. Hope you're all having a restful and enjoyable Xmas wherever in the world you are. I spent a bit of my down-time here compiling my list of my top 50 shots from this year and writing some of my thoughts about those photos and about this year we've all had. The link to the post on my site is below. :)

13.01.2022 The family car is unfortunately off the road at the moment so photo opportunities have been somewhat limited lately, but I was kindly loaned a car for the day and made it out to Gerroa for sunset. :)

12.01.2022 Hey gang. Some golden surf at sunset last night. Full photoblog and 20 more shots available by clicking on the preview below.

12.01.2022 Hey guys. Here's my latest photoblog - click below to see all the shots. I'm considering making some changes to how I share my photos on the Internet for 2021 and onwards. Nearly 9000 people follow my page but because of how Facebook monetise their site, only a small percentage ever see a post, unless you pay money to 'boost' it. And posts that are simply links (like this one) do even worse because Facebook want you to upload directly so they can push more advertising your w...ay. Which is why I do the regular direct upload posts, so that they get better coverage. Posts I make here rarely get much of a response and I'm not convinced it's worth the effort anymore. So I'm giving serious thought to kicking this page into touch completely - maybe Instagram too since that's basically the same deal. One of the things I'm considering is doing an email list with my photographs delivered to your inbox via a MailChimp list or similar. It would of course be opt-in, but it would mean that folks who enjoy the photoblogs would see them every time. I started making the photoblogs on my website several years ago and the email list would just be an extension of that. So would you guys sign-up for a regular email newsletter? Would you miss this page? Love to hear your thoughts.

11.01.2022 Weekend goals, eh. Bit of fresh air, some gardening, perhaps a surf? Seasons are definitely on the turn here. Here's another popular shot from last week uploaded directly for better sharing :) Australia.com Visit NSW Kiama NSW Australia Visit Shoalhaven FUJIFILM Australia

11.01.2022 Hey guys. Here's a direct upload from the set I shared yesterday. Zoom lenses enable you to get amazing shots of wildlife that would otherwise flee in your proximity. This shot was taken in the back garden at 400mm :)

11.01.2022 Here's a 360 I took during last night's sunset at Gerroa. Click for higher resolution.

10.01.2022 Here in the south coast, those days before the Xmas break are like the deep breath before the plunge - quiet for now but about to get much much busier. The virus might yet change things here of course, but I think every one of us deserves the feel of some sand between our toes and some sunshine on our backs after the year we've had. Click the photo below to view all of the shots and a special hello to the family in the preview photo and good luck welcoming the 4th member of your family :)

10.01.2022 Hey gang. Here's how Saturday's sunset looked down at Shoalhaven Heads :)

10.01.2022 Hey guys. Just testing out the 360 timelapse feature on my new action camera. I was hoping for a bit more colour from the sky tonight, but the high cloud cleared off. Anyway - you should be able to scroll around in this video and position the viewpoint wherever you prefer. Pretty cool watching the moon rising over the houses of Gerroa. :)

10.01.2022 Direct upload of some of my favourite shots from the last few days for better sharing. All of the images from these photoblogs and many more are available on my website and the best way to support me and my photography is to view them there - https://andyhutchinson.com.au/photo-blogs/

09.01.2022 Hey guys. Latest episode in my Vitamin D Diaries is uploaded and ready to be viewed in glorious 4K over on YouTube. Be sure to subscribe to my channel if you haven't previously as I have lots of cool new stuff heading that way. :)

09.01.2022 Lots of requests to add this photo to my store, so here it is. Available in traditional velvet photopaper prints from $22 for you to frame yourself, or on gallery-grade stretched canvas ready to hang on the wall from $96.

09.01.2022 Out testing my new iPhone 12 Pro Max yesterday. Half of these shots were taken with the iPhone and half with my Fujifilm X-T4 - can you tell which is which? Click on the preview below to view all 30 shots taken at bush and beach.

08.01.2022 By popular request some more video from that glorious sunrise yesterday. #visitshoalhaven

08.01.2022 Wooo - bumper blog today. Catherine and I decided to make the most of the lovely spring weather and headed out to the northern side of Jervis Bay. We visited Culburra, Currarong and Point Perp and then I headed over to the odl stomping ground at Gerroa for sunset. Click below to view the bazillion (25) keepers I shot.

07.01.2022 With a big zoom lens added to my camera bag I can take shots that weren't previously possible for me. Have a squizz ...

07.01.2022 Hey guys. Here's how yesterday's sunrise unfolded in Shoalhaven Heads. As always, click the link below to view the blog post and all 20 shots. :)

05.01.2022 Thought I'd do a direct upload of this one for better sharing as it's the most popular of the images I shared from the weekend in Jervis Bay. This is the view from the park area behind Greenfield Beach in Vincentia. In the distance, over the top of the white sands of Greenfield you can see the 85m high cliffs of Point Perpendicular and the lighthouses that sit atop them. Greenfield is one of many white sand beaches in Jervis Bay and a family favourite in this household. Australia.com Visit NSW Visit Shoalhaven Jervis Bay Tourism Fujifilm X Series AU

03.01.2022 With no international or even inter-state travel possible, Aussies have been rediscovering their own backyard. And with the last day of winter rolling around and the temperature tipped to hit 24 this weekend, the white sand beaches of Jervis Bay were a lot busier than they usually are at this time of year. With the wind from the west, Catherine and I decided to put our beach towels down to Greenfield Beach before making our way down the Scribbly Gum bushwalk to Chinamans Beach.
