If you are out and about over the holidays you might be interested in going to see the photographs the late David Moore (famous Australian Photographer) shot of the construction of the Opera House which are being shown at Customs House until 26th January and is a free event :-) - Andy

24.01.2022 The new Level 2, Creative Photography Workshop is on this Saturday and there are just 2 places left. If you have done a 1 Day Workshop and want to take your photography further, this is the class for you. After a little revision, it then goes into advanced camera controls, Creating Stronger Composition, Understanding Light. It also includes a critique session and finishes with some fun Night Photography. If you are interested, here is a link to some information and the booking form. If you are not available for this date, there will be another one in July.

21.01.2022 I have been contacted by ESG Foundation who are currently running a competition for Amateur Photographers with the major prize being a 2 week expedition to Uganda where the winner will get to shoot an entire calendar spread for 2015. 20.01.2022 "Art and About" is on in Sydney at the moment, check out the "Australian Life" photography exhibition in St James Walkway, Hyde Park north. Also in Hyde Park north, in the Sandringham Gardens, is a great exhibition by the youngsters of Sydney called "Little Sydney Lives". Both of these exhibitions are on until 12th October :D

20.01.2022 Dane Tucker, who did my 1 Day Workshop earlier this year, has just come back from an amazing trip to South America. He kept a blog whilst travelling (the photos were taken on a Nikon D7000 with the 18-105mm VR kit lens) and is happy to share. Nice work Dane! - Andy

14.01.2022 Di and I have just got back from our annual break (I will be posting a couple of shots next week) and notice there is an interesting series on the ABC. If you have not caught it already check out Photo Finish. It is up to episode 3 but the first episodes are available on catchup tv - iView - the first one expires in about 5 hours. 13.01.2022 Eugne Atget: Old Paris Exhibition Hurry! This exhibition closes on Sunday 4th of November. Atget was one of the first "Documentary Photographers." His images reveal the real Paris of the late 19th and early 20th Centuries.... Where: Art Gallery NSW. Cost: $10

10.01.2022 Start to Finish Event Management are currently looking for a number of students to volunteer at their event to take photos at the Mothers Day Classic fun run/walk, to be held in the Domain & Parramatta Park on Sunday 12 May. The event raises money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. They need students to take photos from approximately 6:30am 11:00am of participants, the site, start line, entertainers etc. Students would need to provide a CD of the photos, post event, so we can publish on the website, and recognise those students that have assisted on event day. 01.01.2022 Very sad to hear of the passing of Rene Burri, what a great Photographer! His book "Rene Burri Photographs" is a favourite of mine.
