06.01.2022 Yesterday, 40 years ago, was the day Red Dog was put to rest. Red Dog was a friendly kelpie-cross who lived his life hitching rides and travelling throughout ...WA's Pilbara region, and even as far south as Perth. He is believed to have been born in Paraburdoo in 1971 and has touched the lives of people in Australia and around the globe after his story was made into a feature film in 2011. Red Dog is buried in an unmarked grave somewhere between Roebourne and Cossack and a memorial statue is located on the outskirts of Dampier. RIP mate. : Red Dog WA
