24.01.2022 What a funny ol’ year. Thank goodness we live in Tasmania is all I can say. Hope you all have a merry Christmas and a safe and happy new year. Open tomorrow 19th 10-2.30 and Tuesday 22nd 10-4.30. Then closed until Tuesday Jan 12.

18.01.2022 Just in case you needed some ‘cute’. This little guy was a bit slow on this chilly morning. I’m sure he’ll find a. Ice sunny spot to get moving and snap up bugs.

16.01.2022 This ol’ boy is the last of four roosters that wandered into the yard. Not sure what happened to the other three - this guy must be the fastest! He’s pretty friendly and hangs out unperturbed while I grind, weld and hammer. Bevans given up try to chase him away from his food. Thanks to Alison for dropping off some chook pellets. I hope he stays... alive.

15.01.2022 Oh it’s been a long time since I’ve had a clearout this good.... years in fact. This is the third and final truckload. All sorts of weird, wonderful and down-right handy. Bricks, pavers, garden tools, Mesh, fishing net, chairs, tables and timber boxes... lots of boxes!

11.01.2022 Just realised it’s been a while since I’ve actually posted anything for sale! Heres a truck pantec I recently had to extract out of a tight spot. It used to be an old mobile workshop so it’s decked out with skylights and heavy duty shelving. It’s 6.1m long, 2.45m wide and 3m high (it’s raised off the ground do internally it’s 2.4m high. Effectively the same dimensions as a 20ft container only raised off the ground. $1750 ono.

11.01.2022 A cats life hey! I believe Bevan started life pretty rough. Arriving at the old wrecking yard in the boot of a car! Flea ridden and scrawny the workers fed him and cleaned him up. When the property was sold I was asked if I wanted the cat that came with the yard... his name’s Bevan... how could I refuse. He’s not doing so badly now . If we all came back as cats who would there be to serve us?

08.01.2022 Just sitting around this afternoon having a cup of tea when we had an unexpected visitor! Unfazed by the four humans in the room this blue tongue lizard came in for some afternoon tea. I thought it may have been possums eating the cat food now I think differently

05.01.2022 Some of you may have seen this little caboose coming to life over the past few months. I’ve failed to post any progress shot so far - but it’s getting a little closer to completion - so here’s an update. It will be for sale - just not sure when... or how much . Needless to say... it will be a while and probably a lot of money

05.01.2022 This lovely work bench is as authentic is it comes. Years of character lay upon layer! Rudimentary vice, work stop and metal edge (if you really want to work off some issues on an unsuspecting piece of metal!). $500.

04.01.2022 I’ve been avoiding too much furniture but lately there’s been a couple of pieces I couldn’t resist... ive converted these old dressers into a couple of lockers and the pink velvet couch... well who could resist! $150ea.

02.01.2022 Happy new year everyone. Slowly getting back into the mode. It’s been nice to have a break. Here’s a post worthy pic of a beautiful set of gates made by customers using an old bed head from the yard. These customers as super creative and have made a personal bush retreat using all recycled materials (a lot from my yard I suspect : ) I hope you’re inspired and wish you a safe, healthy and happy 2021.
