22.01.2022 We have a very limited supply of fresh honeycomb from one of our Kiama hives. They vary in weight between 450g and 550g and are $15 each. They won’t last long . Send me a message if you would like some.
19.01.2022 It’s been a tough season for the bees but we’ve finally been about to extract some beautiful Kiama honey.
11.01.2022 Bees are amazing creatures. We have a couple of hives near Picton that have struggled for a couple of years due to the dry. Imagine our surprise today to find this. It is dry out there that the dams have run dry on the property but yet these hives were full of honey.
09.01.2022 Over a quarter of Australia's butterflies use native grasses as their host-plants and at least 13 species use 'Kangaroo Grass'. Kangaroo Grass (Themeda triand...ra) used to be one of the continent's most widespread native grasses. Today, few native grasslands remain and even these native grasses are hanging-on in remnant patches. Can you help bring them back? They make great additions to gardens, verges, habitat corridors, parklands, regeneration projects... More about Kangaroo Grass here: https://www.anbg.gov.au//interns-2004/themeda-triandra.html

02.01.2022 One of our beekeepers was extremely surprised to come home to this tiny swarm at the front door. They are now safely in a bee box out of the weather. #autumnswarm
