21.01.2022 OK.... now is the time to fill these final few spots. We need your help! Just to make things clear... you will still get to watch the footy. Unlike some other roles on the day the cleaning won't be constant. Wiping of commonly used areas doesn't need to be constantly done so you will still be able to watch the boys play. Only 5 more spots left this week!

01.01.2022 TOUCH FOOTBALL Hi All, Just dropping you all a note to let you know that the Touch Football season is getting close to starting and that we'd love to have you all back again for a run. Come & Try night is Monday 12/10/20 and the season kicks off in full swing 19/10/20. The format is slightly different yet the same as last year. A Grade will be the same as last year while B Grade will revert to the old '2 point' system. That is there must always be 2 of the '2 point' players ...on the field at all times (non-negotiable). '2 Point Players are Females all age, Males 45 and over and males 14 and under. There are other rule changes that will come out separately to this email. Anyone associated with a local Football, Netball, Rugby, Soccer or Hockey club please feel free to contact us about what we can do to encourage involvement of their players. Touch Football makes for a great pre-season of any code and if clubs have representation in the local Touch Football competition it will help build their team dynamics as well as maintain fitness and eye-hand coordination. We are looking for junior players and are working with Touch SA around intro packs for them. Not sure what they will include as yet but we'll keep you posted. This year the administrative platform has changed to MySideline. Please use the link below to register as a team and as a player. It is a new platform that we are adjusting to ourselves but we have found it much easier to use than SportsTG which is great. https://profile.mysideline.com.au/register Each team will get a Touch Football as part of their registration. We're hoping to get some social media activity started this year which includes tagging photos of players scoring tries, juniors having a run with their parents and hopefully some full team shots as well. Naturally we'll seek permission for those posts before they go up. Finally, as we are all aware the COVID situation has created some activities that need to be accommodated for such as sanitising and distancing. We'll send out something more specific about that in due course and we intend to make it as user friendly as we can but please note that we will need your assistance by way of encouraging your teammates to be mindful of the guidelines that we set out. That's about it for now. Thanks Andrew McAlister Regards, Barossa Valley Touch Association
