19.01.2022 R U OK? Navigating our feelings, thoughts and behaviour some days feels like an extreme sport! But now more than ever, as the world feels like it’s imploding , we need to check in on one another. Some days it is just exhausting to keep up with the world: Celebrities flying into the country when others can’t leave their home for more than an hour or cross the borders for groceries or medical treatment. Not having have seen loved ones for months. Sensitivity of speech &... social media with worry to offend someone in some way. (Are we allowed to use colours now??) Having something to celebrate but feeling like you have to play it down when others have lost their livelihood out of their control Parents being thrown into situations of navigating work life and becoming home schoolers Social media becoming so dark in places with distressing content Media outlets causing hype, worry, anxiety but only choosing to cover half of what is going on in the world... A conversation- even for just a few minutes- can mean a lot more than you realise. If anyone needs someone to check in with, please reach out to me xx #ruok
