25.01.2022 Happy Mothers Day - When the God was creating mothers, He was into His sixth day of "overtime" when the angel appeared and said. "You're doing a lot of fiddling around on this one." And God said, "Have you read the specs on this order?" She has to be completely washable, but not plastic. Have 180 moveable parts...all replaceable. Run on black coffee and leftovers. Have a lap that disappears when she stands up. A kiss that can cure anything from a broken leg to a disappoint...ed love affair. And six pairs of hands." The angel shook her head slowly and said. "Six pairs of hands.... no way." It's not the hands that are causing me problems," God remarked, "it's the three pairs of eyes that mothers have to have." That's on the standard model?" asked the angel. God nodded. One pair that sees through closed doors when she asks, 'What are you kids doing in there?' when she already knows. Another here in the back of her head that sees what she shouldn't but what she has to know, and of course the ones here in front that can look at a child when he goofs up and say. 'I understand and I love you' without so much as uttering a word." God," said the angel touching his sleeve gently, "Get some rest tomorrow...." I can't," said God, "I'm so close to creating something so close to myself. Already I have one who heals herself when she is sick...can feed a family of six on one pound of hamburger...and can get a nine year old to stand under a shower." The angel circled the model of a mother very slowly. "It's too soft," she sighed. But tough!" said God excitedly. "You cant imagine what this mother can do or endure." Can it think?" Not only can it think, but it can reason and compromise," said the Creator. Finally, the angel bent over and ran her finger across the cheek. There's a leak," she pronounced. "I told You that You were trying to put too much into this model." It's not a leak," said the Lord, "It's a tear." What's it for?" It's for joy, sadness, disappointment, pain, loneliness, and pride." You are a genius, " said the angel. Somberly, God said, "I didn't put it there. Erma Bombeck, When God Created Mothers

15.01.2022 The question of everyone's lips... "Can I get a mortgage if I have been receiving JobKeeper?" The short answer is YES! Firstly, let's recap what JobKeeper is: J...obKeeper works by granting employers a $1,500 fortnightly payment for each eligible employee which they then pass on as salary. To qualify, a business usually needs to have suffered a 30% decline in revenue due to COVID-19. Big businesses (i.e. those turning over more than $1 billion a year) must experience a 50% dip in revenue. Originally most lenders, especially many of the major banks, said that they wont accept a loan application relying on JobKeeper. However, as it has become more evident that the long term affects of COVID19 may be here for some time we are seeing a relaxing of policies. Depending on your personal situation you may still qualify for a home loan, so long as youre working regular hours and continuing to receive your regular income. If youve had your hours cut so that youre receiving less take-home pay, a lender will assess your application based on the lower salary. Youre unlikely to qualify for a home loan if your business isnt operating or if youre working reduced hours. Youre also unlikely to qualify if you normally get paid less than $1,500 a fortnight but have received a pay boost due to JobKeeper. If you usually earn more than $1,500 a fortnight, your employer can use the JobKeeper payment to subsidise your regular wage. If you usually earn less than $1,500 a fortnight and your employer applies for JobKeeper on your behalf, youll actually receive a temporary pay rise to $1,500 a fortnight. Speak to your Broker and they can find the best fit for your scenario. 10.01.2022 During a challenging time recently amongst Covid19 restrictions, Angela sold our Murrumba Downs house with outstanding commitment and attention to detail. Angela's excellent communication and relational skill made an emotional process smooth and relaxed. A couple of minor challenges during the sale were expertly handled. We would highly recommend Angela as a dedicated agent who will strive for the best possible outcome from a sale. We can't thank her enough! Daniel, Shaun and Kieran

07.01.2022 The organisers would love to thank all of you for your support and encouragement of the Samford Edible Garden Trail. Because of the wonderful feedback we recei...ved and also how much fun we had in the process, we have decided to keep the Trail going! We will be showcasing a new garden and revisiting some of the 'old' ones every second Sunday at 9.30am. We will continue to feature gardens in the 4520 postcode AND we are excited to announce that we will be including some road trips outside of our immediate area as well. We will be posting up a garden tour with live commentary on this facebook page, and also posting up shorter informational videos on our YouTube page (under the same name). This week we will be featuring the incredible edible garden of Mary-Ann and Colin Baker in Dayboro. Many of you may know them already from local garden groups as they are well known for sharing their incredible produce with the community. Their garden has been created all within the last four years, it has an extensive orchard of over 300 different sub-tropical trees, a vegetable garden and a mini home pineapple plantation that left me (Susanne) very envious. :-) Please tune in this Sunday at 9.30am on this page to watch the garden tour and ask questions. May the Samford Edible Garden Trail continue to grow...and with each garden that we visit and learn from let's hope that we will all be inspired to grow a little more in our own backyards.

04.01.2022 This is really interesting and so are the comments - I believe the work from Home more culture is here to stay even in Real Estate. I hear people say they need to be in the office to keep motivated but at end of the day if you arent disciplined enough to do the prospecting then this probably isnt the career for you.
