Today is set up better but most of the heavier thunderstorms will remain from about the Tablelands west, with only the chance of a shower along the coast. A weak ridge lies over the northern tropics of Queensland. A trough and cold front near the southeast Queensland coast will move north along the east coast, reaching the Central Coast by Wednesday. A high moving into the Great Australian Bight extends a ridge over southwestern districts in the wake of the cold front, and a high moving into the Tasman Sea midweek will strengthen a ridge along the east coast. North Tropical Coast and Tablelands - Forecast for the rest of Tuesday: Partly cloudy. High (70%) chance of showers inland, slight (30%) chance along the coast.
