25.01.2022 A letter to the scared me, pregnant with her first child. I know you’re scared that your body wont bounce back. Sooner or later your going to have to value you...rself on something other then the way your body looks, keep writing, keep painting, keep loving and one day you’ll learn that you don't feel the way you look, you look the way you feel. You're going to be ok. I know you’re scared for your vagina. The truth is it will be fine, it will stretch to grand canyon status and magically shrink again small enough to snuggle a tampon. Vaginas are wonderfully sophisticated and despite a serious case of Long Term Relationship Vagina it will be just fine. You're going to be ok. I know you’re scared that it wont work out with your man. And to be honest there are no guarantees in this world, but one thing I can tell is that your fear of single motherhood will pass, in order to feel truly happy in a relationship you need to learn that you can do it on your own And you can. Invest in bonds with your family, bonds with other women and your relationship may just fall into place. Your scared of loneliness which is ironic considering you’ll never be alone again. You're going to be ok I know that you’re scared that your anxiety will transform to post natal depression. Talk. Every single conversation you have in the future will take a small bit of weight off your shoulders. Talk. Hiding from depression makes you unwell, facing it makes you kick arse warrior. You're going to be ok. I know you are scared that you are not going to be able to keep your house clean. Sorry but you’re right, you never become a clean person. It will be the base of many arguments between you and your man, the sooner you accept this the better. And still.. You are going to be ok. I know you don't believe that you are going to be a good mum. You are. You are an incredible mum, because every relationship you have ever had you think you spoiled for loving too much But guess what? You cant give children too much love, you are going to go on to have more children and they are going to make you so happy, you’ll actually cry happy tears all the time, the love will be visible to everyone who steps into your house and sees the world that you are going to live in for the rest of your life. You are one very lucky young scared women.. and.. You are going to be ok. Because every year you’ll give less fucks then the one before and your only regret will be how much time you spent worrying about things that seriously do not matter. So please, pregnant, waddling and scared little me Remember.. You are going to be ok.

14.01.2022 Dummies! A lot of children have dummies, and for some this is fine. Some babies and toddlers sleep great with a dummy, don't change this! For the remainder th...at are quite possibly cat napping and waking multiple times at night, the dummy is the problem, and it might be time to go! Having a dummy does not mean your child is self settling. This is an external sleep aid or a 'prop.' Without this dummy your child is unable to go to sleep and more often than not, unable to go back to sleep during naps or overnight without it being put back in. Teaching a child to truly self settle is your answer to getting them sleeping longer day and night. So, how do I get rid of the dummy I hear you say?! Here's a few things to get you started. 1. For a lot of children that dummy either needs to be there or gone. It can be difficult for some if they can use this dummy outside of sleep time but not in their cots, very confusing!. The easiest thing can be to just go cold turkey. 2. However, if you really really need it outside of the cot, make sure your child is not getting sleepy at all with it's use. You don't want them to associate any part of sleep with a dummy. 3. Be careful you are not swapping the dummy for another 'prop.' The last thing you want to do is take away the dummy and be stuck patting your little one off to sleep. 4. Consistency! Take away the dummy, choose a technique to help your little one learn how to self settle, and stick with it ;-) Good luck!
