19.01.2022 Last night Angel Light Link was invited to attend Dandenong Unites 2017, a women’s networking event organised and supported by Maurice Blackburn Lawyers in Dandenong. This was a fantastic opportunity to share about the importance of community, and we also heard from Gabrielle Williams, the State Member for Dandenong, about her journey into politics and some of the challenges she face and overcame. It was a great night and we would like to say a big thanks to Maurice Blackburn Dandenong for choosing to support Angel Light Link through this event!

13.01.2022 You may have noticed that there hasn’t been much news from A.L.L. recently Our organisation has been undergoing some changes over the past few years and while our school prevention programs and mental health support groups are well received, there has been an increased struggle to maintain funding for our services and have enough staff and resources to run the organisation. Regretfully, the Angel Light Link Committee has decided that it is necessary to close the organisati...on and cease all programs and services. We realise that this may be a shock and disappointment, particularly for those who have partnered with us for many years. Angel Light Link has been blessed by a wonderful network of volunteers who have served in school programs, support groups, office administration, fundraising, and many other areas both practically supporting young women as well as vital work behind the scenes. We want to express our appreciation for the effort you have put in to ensure that our programs and services run smoothly in each of the different settings we work in. It has been a pleasure for our team of staff and volunteers to support over 8000 young women during the past 12 years and we know that the benefits and seeds planted are long lasting. Angel Light Link has facilitated prevention and education programs in 43 schools as well as community groups and churches, in addition to delivering mental health support groups and individual counselling. So as to gain the most benefit from the work that has been done, we will be making all of our program and support group materials publicly available for anyone to use. This means that counsellors, schools, current and previous facilitators, support workers, churches, community groups etc. are free to use the programs as they wish within their services and in their local communities. Thank you again for your support and partnership in Angel Light Link’s services, if you have any questions or comments we would love to hear from you.

11.01.2022 We have a number of exciting programs coming up this week at Angel Light Link! Today we are launching our Stressdump Support Groups for young women aged 18-25. The Year 8 girls from Bayswater College have already started their 8-week program; tomorrow they will be focusing on friendships and understanding self-esteem. On Friday, the Grade 6 girls from Narre Warren South P-12 College will commence their lunch time program which is focused on the transition to secondary school.

11.01.2022 Learning to relax our breathing can really help with stress management but practising slow breathing can be boring, so here is a fun idea: get some bubbles and try to blow to a big bubble. You’ll slow your breathing down and have fun at the same time! Steph was very proud of blowing the biggest bubble!

10.01.2022 Awesome art therapy session with Michelle Sanders today as part of our 8 week Stressdump anxiety management support group for young women.

10.01.2022 Angel Light Link is having a fundraising BBQ at Bunnings Fountain Gate on Saturday 21st October! We will be there with sausages sizzling from 9am 5pm. We also need volunteers for 2 hour shifts during the day - come along and join the fun!

09.01.2022 When someone you care about or know is grieving after a loss, it can be difficult to know what to say or do. You may be afraid of intruding, saying the wrong th...ing, or making your loved one feel even worse. But your comfort and support can make all the difference. Here are five things you can say to show that support. Anything you’d add?
