From my enquiries and discussions with buyers of local property, most of the buyers are: local families who are selling their property to upsize or downsize locally; people from the Sydney area utilizing local properties for holiday homes; ... young families moving to Gerringong to take advantage of the amazing lifestyle that this beautiful area offers. A lot of people have realized during Covid that they are able to work from home, and also that Gerringong’s proximity to the Greater Sydney area means that weekenders here are a very viable option. People are also unable to go on overseas holidays, so are spending their money more locally.
