08.01.2022 Allowing children to let loose and get dirty is actually very important for their development and health. * It gets children outdoors where play goes hand in h...and with exercise, burning off energy whilst practicing their motor skills and building strong bones. * It gives children freedom to exercise their curiosity and develop problem solving skills with hands on activities such as gardening. * It provides opportunities for their young minds to explore concepts about science responsibility, conservation and nutrition through gardening and exploring what insects and rocks they find or what happens when water is added to dirt. * Letting children run through dirt with bare feet is known as "earthing" which is simply having our feet and bodies contacting the earth. * Running bare foot and playing outdoors also helps to relieve stress and anxiety. * It assists with giving children's immune system a boost by exposing them to organisms that could lessen a child's chance of developing allergies.
