25.01.2022 We have opened back up this week with some activities happening at the house. If you are keen to join Jannie Kemps Lotus Yoga class on Fridays at 9.30am give Jannie a call on 5263 1536. Places are limited to ensure that we are offering a Covid Safe place for the community to use so please book ahead with Jannie.

23.01.2022 Happy Wear it Purple Day! The community house is pleased to provide a safe and inclusive space for all in our community. Wear it Purple Day is about showing LGBTIQ+ young people that they have the right to be proud of who they are.

22.01.2022 We are working hard at the Community House to get our centre Covid Safe ready so we can reopen to the public. We are also getting the Resale Shed at the tip, a project of the Community House, Covid Safe ready. For those who are keen to get back in to upcycling and supporting the many community groups that benefit from this project we will be sure to keep you posted about our opening date.



22.01.2022 Call out for romance novels. We have a vulnerable member of our community desperate for some light reading. She has read all the romance that we have in our street library. If anyone would like to donate some romance style books it would be greatly appreciated. "Contactless drop off" : you can leave them in our book box outside the door of the Community house.. All books donated will be rotated into our street library. Please remember the street library is there for everyone, feel free to come down and borrow books for yourself.

19.01.2022 Delivery Day! We have been busy supporting those in need with delivery of essential food items today. Our long running Foodlink program works to supporting people in our community who may need a little extra help in getting access to food. Foodlink is run by volunteers and is made possible by the generosity of community members who donate food and money to enable us to address food security issues in our local community. If you or anyone you know is in need of some support please get in touch! You can call 52632116 or message us here on Facebook.

19.01.2022 We have had a call from a local community member who is keen to connect with anyone else who uses Quickbooks accounting system . He has a couple of questions and would like to pick your brain about some issues he is having. If anyone out there is happy to do so please message us and we can put you in touch with him.

18.01.2022 We have had a few calls, drop ins to ask about where people can buy masks locally. If you or someone you know is making masks here locally in Anglesea or Aireys and surrounds, to sell please let us know. As not everyone is on Facebook it would be great to send us a phone number people could call to order/purchase.

Thanks to Liam Rotham who kindly put the word out about donating his weekly food delivery package to a family in need after he forgot to cancel it when he went on holiday. Through our food security program, Foodlink we had volunteers pick up the delivery and get it to a family in need! #thekindnesspandemic

While we cant get together and enjoy this years play in person we can still support the local arts through tuning in to events like Theatre Matters in PORTAL this Sunday morning. 13.01.2022 Anglesea Community House is happy to announce that we are OPEN . Following an extended closure due to Covid-19 we are happy to be reopening our doors. Please be patient with us as there are restrictions and strict hygiene rules to follow on entry. Please note that we have limited numbers allowed at any one time so maybe give us a call first on 5263 2116 . Currently there will only be access to the house during office operating hours which are Monday to Friday 9.00am 2.3...0pm. No access will be allowed without a staff member being present and on duty. This is so we can ensure all cleaning and sanitising is done fully in between house users. The only entry and exit points will be by the entrance off the car park. Any person who feels unwell or has any cold or flu like symptoms must not enter the Anglesea Community House. We look forward to seeing many of your smiling faces soon See more

13.01.2022 Anglesea Foodlink needs reusable bags for their deliveries. If anyone has an excess of bags and would like them to go to good use rather than filling up your cupboards please feel free to drop them into Anglesea Community House. We are currently open Monday to Friday 9am - 2.30pm.

09.01.2022 We are busy getting Covid Safe ready for the return of our Twilight Market tonight from 4.30pm to 8pm!

09.01.2022 We have thoroughly enjoyed welcoming community members back into the house over the last few weeks. Book Club enjoyed being able to meet again today face to face after 3 months of zoom meetings. Unfortunately as we return to Stage 3 we again have to close our physical doors to the public after today. No classes, courses or meetings can be held at the house during this time. Our childcare service will continue to run as normal. Marcelle and Julie are still working and will ...be available for over the phone 5263 2116 Monday to Friday 9am - 2.30pm or via email on [email protected] . Our Foodlink food security service will still be running supporting community members in need. 01.01.2022 The Anglesea Community House green Hub is growing. Even though we are closed we will have a container near the door that you can put your recycling into. Please try to drop off Monday to Friday before 2.30pm so that it is not sitting out over the weekends. We are still collecting reusable bags for Foodlink to use for deliveries which can also be left in the containers. We really appreciate everyones effort in reducing landfill.
